If you have a rescue, you know that the best decision you’ve ever made was to adopt them. Saving the life of a stray kitty – or any animal, really – not only makes their life better, but also yours. Being their parent is so rewarding and fulfilling that you’ll never regret it. Especially when you see them change from a scared creature to a confident animal after some time. Like the ones you’ll see below.
1. Sweet Barley
World, meet Barley. A cute kitty that was rescued from the streets- malnourished and full of fleas. Three months after being adopted, she looks like a completely different cat.
2. Poor Boy
This sweetheart is Yuzu. When he was found by vet students, he suffered from numerous health issues, but one year later, he’s perfectly healthy!
3. Snow Kitty
When a woman found this little kitty five years ago, she told her kids they were just going to foster him. Five years later, he’s become a family member!
4. One Man’s Trash
Melvin was found by his new mommy in a heap of trash, but he proved to be her treasure! Look at him sleeping on her the first night she took him in, and then eight years later!
5. Adorable Boy
A man had to fight with his wife in order to take this guy home instead of leaving him at the shelter. He looked so vulnerable and sick. But, thanks to his new parents’ love and care he made it!
6. Strong Girl
This beauty is Emmy. She was found when she was only six weeks old, and she soon became a completely different kitten!
7. Lucky Boy
Thanks to this guy’s commitment, little Kai Mana recovered from surgery sooner than they expected and he’s not enjoying the good life!
8. Rise Like A Phoenix
This is Phoenix, a stray that was found covered in tar. A little more than a month later, he was as good as new! Wow!
9. Warrior
Kira is a warrior. She was so malnourished when she was found on a farm of cows that they thought she wouldn’t make it. But, a week later she was doing perfectly fine, so they decided to adopt her!
10. Sonny The Cat
When this person met Sonny, he was 13 years old and nobody wanted to adopt him because of his old age and his condition. To this day, his adoptive parent hasn’t regretted their decision to adopt him one bit.
11. Handsome Albus
Seriously, if we had to identify this kitty, we wouldn’t have thought it’s him in all four pictures! He was found in the streets of Cairo, and now he’s a spoilt little king in his home!
12. Roadrunner
This is Roadrunner: in the top picture he was just taken from the shelter by his foster parent, and the bottom picture was taken on the day he went to his new home. What a transformation!
13. From New Orleans To Paris
Cousteau was found in the streets of New Orleans, and now he’s living in Paris. That’s what we call one lucky kitty!
14. Brothers
These two kitties have changed a lot for the better since the day they were rescued. What has not changed is the bond between them.
15. Jake The Fluffy
When his adoptive parent found him, Jake was underneath a car freezing. A year later he’s one adorable fluffball!
16. Healing Process
This cutie was found with a really bad head wound and they didn’t know if he would make it. Eight months later, he has recovered and he’s the sweetest kitty ever.
17. Unbelievable
Can you believe that it is the same cat in both pictures? It is true what they say then, that a little love goes a long way!
18. Sweet Girl
This 10-year-old cat was neglected by her previous owners and it took her some time to adjust to her new home. But now she really loves it there!
19. Makeover
Look at this cat’s transformation in just one month! She’s so big and looks so much happier now!
20. Foster Love
This kitten went from 3lbs to 7lbs in just one month of foster care. So lucky to have found a home!
According to experts, adopting a pet can prove beneficial for your and your family’s life. It can reduce stress levels and anxiety and it can generally contribute to your well-being. Not to mention that you’re saving a life, which is a very important point to consider.
