The rift between cat and dog lovers is a concept as old as time. But, no matter if you prefer cats or dogs, the common denominator is love. We all fall in love with our furry friends because they are just pure sources of love and joy. This is especially true when it comes to a kitten.

When it comes to cats, some just need a bit more loving and attention than others. Whether they want to play or snuggle, they will figure out how to get your attention. That fact is particularly true for foster cats, who often feel they have some catching up to do when it comes to affection.

This is exactly the case for one foster kitten named Ginger.

A caring man who decided to foster Ginger the kitten may not have realized what he signed up for.

While foster cats in general need extra love, foster kittens need even more!

Thankfully, they captured an adorable moment and uploaded it to YouTube. To date, more than 2.9 million people have enjoyed watching Ginger shower her foster dad with love.

The video begins when Ginger pounces.

She has found her way to the top of the couch while her foster dad seems to be preoccupied. Cats have a way of being sneaky, but she’s not looking to be ignored! After flipping onto her back, she goes for the ear.

Adorable? yes! Effective? not quite.

Still being ignored, Ginger tries something else.

Wiggling on her back brings her foster dad’s face within reach. She goes for the eyes! This works much better and makes the big guys head turn, but he’s still not giving her what she wants!

This kitten is determined!

She earns a smirk and a few air kisses from the foster dad, but that’s not enough.

So, she pauses for a moment, totally upside down, and ponders her next move. Eureka!

If she can’t get the love she needs while upside down, she should try getting it right side up.

Plan-B

The kitten clearly won’t give up. After flipping over and finding her balance she pulls a classic cat move.

Leaning into the back of the man’s neck, she rubs her furry side along his neck for some make-shift pets to hold her over. How could anyone ignore something so cute?

Yet another strategy

The underneath approach didn’t work, so this time she started climbing and rubbing her belly on the back of her foster dad’s head.

Unfortunately, the video comes to an end before we get to see if her hard work pays off, but just the fact that she isn’t stuck in a shelter is heartwarming enough. We can rest assured that Ginger is happy and gets plenty of attention.

During these changing times, animal shelters and rescue organizations are encouraging people to foster. It’s a great way to experiment with pet ownership while changing the lives of neglected animals in need of love.
