20 cats who have claimed the dog’s bed for themselves without shame
For enjoying tiny boxes so much, cats also really seem to like giant beds that belong to the resident canine.
And dogs just take it.
Let’s face it – if a dog really wanted its bed back, it could press the issue (or sit right on the cat). But they simply don’t.
Check out these 20 cats that got the good seat and aren’t giving it up any time soon:
1. Help, mom!
We love the look on the dog’s face vs. the look on the cat’s.
One says “mommy, help!” and the other says “go ahead and try.”
2. Trading places
We’re not sure if the food is there to tempt someone out of the wrong bed or what, but it’s pretty clear that the cat has chosen its bed.
You snooze you lose.
3. This is my life now
This pup knows they’re not going to reclaim their bed any time soon.
But that look asking for sympathy does make us want to give him or her a second bed of their own though.
4. Golden Retrievers are just too nice
This cat doesn’t care one little bit that the dog is sleeping on the floor.
The bed is his throne now – and judging by the belly-up sleep position, the kitty is confident no one will press the issue.

5. So posh
Cats are simply posher than dogs.
And apparently they can read because we assume that’s why this kitten stole the posh bed.

6. Here, have mine
This sweet Sheltie is taking care of a stray kitten.
It seems pretty undisturbed that it’s claimed the bed – even though they could both easily fit in there.
My friend found this kitten in her barn, this is how her 9 year old dog treats it.
7. The floor is just fine
How hilarious is this dog who has just largely given up on getting his bed back?
He’ll still sleep next to it though.
Don’t worry, I can sleep on the floor. (x-post from /r/aww) from r/stolendogbeds
8. I’ll take it all
Ouch! The crate too?
This cat has decided the dog can no longer have nice things.
9. It’s all good
This pup is trying to act like it’s all good as he wedges himself into that cat bed.
But the kitten certainly looks happy. How about a big stretch?
10. Double trouble
Sorry, buddy. If you can’t beat one cat, you have no chance against two.
Looks like you’re gonna need at least 3 dog beds to solve this problem.
11. So comfy
That’s cold. This cat is just rubbing it in.
We’re not sure what the dog thinks is going to happen. Sometimes you just have to stand up for yourself.

12. King of the castle
How many cats does it take to defeat 5 dogs?
Just one.
Looks like we know who the boss is in this house.
It’s 7 degrees outside and the king has claimed his bed from r/aww
13. Sad appeal
This dog looks like it’s trying to appeal to the kitten’s better nature.
Good luck with that!
He’s been here about a week and at 9 weeks old, has managed a power move on the dogs bed. from r/pics
14. Where’s the justice?
This dog could easily have his bed back.
But the gentle giant waited until the kitten was done.
He then waited on the floor for her to get up from his bed. from r/stolendogbeds
15. I’ll just take the whole house, thanks
Now that’s just pathetic.
Look at that face – and look how little the cat cares.
16. Is there a problem here?
The look on this kitten’s face just screams “are you going to try and tell on me?!”
Even if he does, it won’t do much good. It’s too great of a photo op.
Heard I should share Peanut stealing her German Shepherd’s bed over here (x-posted from r/aww) from r/stolendogbeds
17. The eyes have it
Even with glowing eyes, you can tell which ones mean business.
That cat looks pretty comfy if you ask us.
18. Nice bed, nerd
These cats appear to be openly mocking their dog sibling for having the smallest bed.
Apparently 3 beds will not solve the problem.
First bed was stolen, so we bought a second one. Second bed was stolen as well. from r/stolendogbeds
19. Much unfair
This made us lol.
These facial expressions tell the whole story.
20. Thunder buddies
Looks like everyone is afraid of a storm but only one lucky creature got the comfy, cozy bed to curl up in safely.
Those dogs could have it back, but they don’t look like they want to create any more drama.
