Her mother utterly rejected her for some unexplainable reason. She refused to give Luna the milk and attention she needed.

What causes some animal mothers to abandon their own babies?

“Once the mother realizes that one of her kittens are infected, she knows that the chances of it surviving are less and the chances of other kittens getting sick are high. The mother cat will soon abandon the sick kitten and takes the siblings away.”

“This move seems logical and reasonable because even veterinarians are not keen on treating a kitten with bacterial or viral illness because it will not survive even with proper care and medicine.”

Luna’s chances of survival were very poor, but luckily an admirable person came to her aid.

The woman who helped Luna had prior experience with large cats. She wanted to support Luna in surviving by nursing for her and ensuring her with a vitamin-rich diet that she badly needed.

Thereafter, the woman became attached to Luna and decided to purchase her from the zoo, but only because she was sure that she could provide Luna with the life she deserved and needed.

Then, Luna became part of the family. She was introduced to the woman’s dog, named Venza.

The owner created various social media accounts for their followers.

A dedicated YouTube channel about the life and adventure of a little black leopard, an Instagram account for their daily stories, and even a TikTok account.

Every 20th of March, they are celebrating the birth of Venza and Luna.

At 10 months old, Luna weighs 22.4 kg and she hasn’t even reached the maturity of her growth, while Venza turned six years old.
