There is nothing sadder than seeing an abandoned puppy in the middle of nowhere.

The cases of dumped pets keep on rising, especially now that the world is facing a fearsome foe – the COVID19 pandemic.

Pets are abandoned either by their families who moved away from their homes or by their owners who passed away because of the virus. Either way, they always end up being alone with no human to take care of them and love them.

But there’s always the other side of the coin, just like this adorable story of a rescued puppy.

An angelic pup named Callie was abandoned by her previous owner. The helpless dog was tied to a fence and left defenseless from the possible dangers that the open wild could bring.

There’s no telling as to how long she had been there. When did she have her most recent meal? Has she slept? These are just some of the many other questions that came into her rescuer’s mind.

Not all heroes wear capes – Callie’s sad whimpers were heard by someone with a huge heart.

Out of nowhere, a man came to investigate where the sad cry was coming from.

He saw the poor little puppy and the good Samaritan picked her up and brought her to her new forever home.

When they finally got home, Callie’s savior was so kind that he allowed her to stay beside his sleeping baby. He knew that Callie was tired and sleepy, so he convinced the drowsy dog to sleep.

By the looks of it, the rescued puppy was ready to go down after being mercilessly tied up to that fence.

The obviously sleepy pup was just too scared to lie down and sleep.

Her fear of waking up alone was probably stopping her from sleeping. The little pooch’s head was already swaying from left to right and downwards, her eyes were also about to close. She stumbled a couple of times.

It was the trauma from being dumped that kept her awake – but not for long.

Callie eventually gave up, she was no longer able to hold her eyes open and her body finally gave in to sleep. She then laid herself down to rest but she did it in the most endearing way possible.

She snuggled the sleeping baby beside her and put her head to rest on top of the child’s.

She found comfort and ease in the baby’s presence. She was no longer afraid to sleep because she knew that there was a family who would be there to love her once she wakes up; her family.

It almost seems as if she knew that she would never be alone again.

Thankfully for us, Callie’s rescuer got this whole touching scene on video. After uploading it to YouTube, it has pulled in over 94 million views!

Viewers loved the video of Callie sleeping on her tiny new human so much that her new owners had to post an update…three years later!

Callie was still with the same family who rescued her from the streets three years ago and closer than ever to her little human.

It looks like Callie and the baby grew up together as the best of friends and playmates.

Who knows how these two buddies have grown up to this day?

It’s a successful rescue story that led to a happy ending. It’s a story that’s worth-sharing to all of our friends and families.
