When men and women – particularly those over the age of 45 – are feeling the need to refresh their look, there’s one place they can go to make sure they receive the best the industry has to offer.

Christopher Hopkins – aka The Makeover Guy – has been performing these transformations for over a decade from his “appearance studio” in Minneapolis, Minnesota after being an entertainer and on-air personality in the city.

He’s the best of the best and his makeovers continue to stun people on YouTube.

“This is insane! How do you do this?! I keep thinking I am not going to be shocked and then I see the reveal and my jaw drops. Another beauty.”

This is a common refrain from viewers, who have watched years worth of his short videos and continue to be amazed by his vision and the joy and new life he brings to his clients.

In May 2019, he posted a video from Addie, who came to him all the way from British Colombia, Canada.

Addie had just lost some weight and even though tending to her appearance in a drastic way was out of her comfort zone, she wanted to finish off her physical transformation with a bold new look.

And boy did she get one!

She gave her stylists free rein to do what they do best. After having watched The Makeover Guy’s videos, she trusted the process.

And the process was spot on once again – it’s clear from the giant smile on her face.

Addie went from au naturel to bombshell in a day, getting a hair, makeup, AND wardrobe makeover.

Her plain and volumeless brown bob (the kind anyone would have without styling products) was transformed into a shorter, face-framing set of strawberry blond curls.

The lighter color and tone were perfect and, ironically, looked far more natural than the color she came in with.

With no makeup on at the beginning, any addition to her face was bound to make an impact.

Addie had her skin tone evened out and bronzed up with the help of some foundation and highlighter. The team added a copper blush to compliment the red in her hair as well.

A sheer, neutral lip kept her look professional and put-together but still relatively natural in the end.

She even got a change of spectacles (though we love the originals) to something more round and classic.

A bit of eye makeup and some brow powder helped make her eyes pop in all the right ways. (We suppose those original frames did overpower her face a bit.)

As for her clothing, Addie went from a drapey black blouse to neutral colors and bold lines, highlighting her new hair and overall glow. A yellow checked dress shirt peeked out from a blue suit jacket with just enough pattern to pull the look together in a thoughtful way.

And her smile couldn’t have been any bigger and brighter when she first saw herself in the mirror.

Commenters couldn’t believe their eyes either.

“Literally spit my coffee. She looks absolutely stunning. Great makeover!,” said one.

And many pointed out what a talent Hopkins has for working with his clients’ natural beauty:

“Phenomenal! She looks younger, brighter, prettier! The makeover brought out her natural beauty.”

Cheers to a more glamorous and youthful-looking Addie, who has now completed her transformation and – most importantly – is happy with it.
