Adorable girl shares her hilariously unique theory about the Virgin Mary’s first Christmas

It’s hard to hate on the Christmas season. The lights, family time, and food all come together to create a truly magical time of year! For adults, Christmas can easily lose some of its charm as the years go by. Family problems, footing the Christmas bill, and dozens of other things can cause the once magical season to lose some of its luster. Thankfully, we have kids.

Kids always find a way to put magic back into the things that adults manage to make boring!

Santa Claus, Christmas cookies, and massive messes are all staples of a childhood Christmas. With children, that joy hasn’t left the month of December behind quite yet. One might even say that the little silver bell hasn’t stopped ringing in kids’ ears yet.

If we actually sat kids down and asked them what Christmas was all about, what do you think they would say?

We don’t have to wonder anymore! Jimmy Kimmel, a comedian and talk show host, decided to quiz kids out on the street and see what they would say. The results were, as you can expect, absolutely hilarious! The first question?

“Who was born on the first Christmas?”

That’s an easy one for most Americans to answer. Unless you are confusing Santa and Jesus! For a kid though, how are they supposed to tell the difference? One kid answered the question in pro form. His answer? Jack, from Nightmare Before Christmas! That is definitely an original answer.

“Who is the Virgin Mary?”

This little girl had the responsibility of answering that question. She was looking super fly with her glasses perched up on her head and answered just as cool as she looked. Virgin Mary? Oh, that was Jesus’ aunt! She also included the fact that Jesus had a cousin named Mike. Who knew?

“Who is Joseph?”

This is one of the best answers so far. For this little girl, the story of Christmas was one big drama, complete with a breakup scene!

“Joseph, he was um, he got married to Mary, but they got like – they didn’t really like want to be together. So then she started to go with God.”

This little guy even knew some details!

“And the three wise kings, um, came to the stable, and Mary and Joseph, they had a baby Jesus.”

Not everyone knew the “right” answers.

Mixing up details is easy to do, especially when you only hear the full story once a year. The girl from earlier mayyy have been mixing up the crucifixion and the Christmas story. And also Santa.

“Santa took baby Jesus to a tree, and then they started to – they started to have like a little feast.”

Twitter parents even had some awesome content to add to the story!

Spending money on your baby this Christmas? This dad can relate.

“I’ve spent over 100 dollars on Christmas gifts for a kid that doesn’t know the meaning of the words Christmas, gifts, 100, or dollars.”

This parent may have taught their kids the wrong lessons for Christmas!

Moral of the story? We all love Christmas, even if we can’t pinpoint why. Check out the video below!
