This story begins with Lilo, the husky. Lilo lives in a house with a bunch of other animals. Like, a full-on animal kingdom situation. There are other dogs, cats, rabbits, and of course, humans too. She is used to having a bunch of animal energy surrounding her.
But one day, her humans decided to bring a kitten in from the streets that would change the energy of the house. From lively and energetic to a feeling of need and despair. The new kitten Rosie was in bad shape and needed some serious nourishment.

“She almost did not make it through the first night … Even with round the clock care. She was lethargic and limp. So we decided to go out on a limb and let her cuddle extensively with Lilo,” Lilo’s mom explained on her Instagram.
Lilo, of course, remained calm, being so used to animals. And allowed little Rosie to snuggle in and find comfort.

“By some miracle, she started suckling on Lilo, and Lilo went full “mom mode.” Even stimulating it to go to the bathroom … (This was very shocking to me). Since then, Rosie’s been getting much better, and her eyes opened!”

Their human even had to put out a warning to “copycats” out there, that were inspired by the unique relationship. “Huskies are notorious for their intense prey drive!! So please please don’t run out and get a kitten (or a husky) expecting them to be best friends.”

It’s clear we are witnessing a special bond with two very compatible personalities with Rosie and Lilo. Rosie has even adapted some doggy traits from being around Lilo. She walks on a leash, pants like a dog, enjoys playing with dogs, and just loves to chill with her pack.

Lilo and Rosie play all day long and go on many adventures together. Rosie is so lucky to have found Lilo. In fact, she likely wouldn’t have survived without her. Luckily, they still snuggle at night when the day is done. How wonderful!
