We are all excited to see the sun start to peek out above the winter clouds. The sun means the end of the cold season, relaxing, and if we are lucky, no more social distancing! One of the best parts of summer are the incredible drinks!
Wine coolers and beer are always options…
There are a few staples that people turn to for their fix in the hotter months. For some, it is a classic beer and for others, it may be a cold seltzer. With all the extra time we have spent inside, however, why don’t we get a bit more creative?

Beer and seltzers can get boring after a while! These slushies are so easy that we think everyone should try them! They only require a few ingredients.
Here is how to make the easiest summer “cocktail” ever!
All you need are freezer pops and your favorite alcohol! Almost all grocery stores will start selling those huge nets full of freezer pops soon! Pick up a bag or two on your next store trip and throw it in the freezer at home for whenever you need it!
After you get your pops, the rest is simple!
To be honest, these drinks don’t really have a recipe! After you have your pops frozen and waiting, simply grab them and put the drink together!
Steps:
- Taking your varied pop colors, cut them into little one inch cubes
- Placing your cubes in a glass and crush them up a bit
- Grab your favorite alcohol and pour it into your glass
- Enjoy!
These truly couldn’t be simpler and they are so yummy too!
You can use whatever alcohol you want!
One of the great pieces about these little drinks is the customization that they come with. Pretty much any clear liquor works in this.
Vodka and tequila are pretty standard and have quite the kick! The popsicles make it taste like candy so be careful! You can also add something a bit “lighter” like White Claws or other seltzers if you aren’t trying to have too much fun.
A variation of this is a great party pleaser.
You could always make a bunch of these at once given how simple the recipe is BUT you could always add a spin to make these a centerpiece for a party or for a group of friends.
Making a punch is a super easy variation.
If you want to make a punch, simply get a large bowl or container and add your popsicles, getting all the colors mixed together a bit. After you add your popsicles, simply add your bottle of liquor and add some floating watermelon slices, just to be extra.
Alcohol, pools, and slushies? Who wouldn’t love these?
