No one wants to lose their dog. It is literally a pet parent’s worst nightmare. What makes it worse is that Blue is a senior. And he was lost in a big city.

THE big city.

Blackwell refused to give in, exerting all her effort and time in the hopes of finding her beloved pooch. She kept driving around, not caring about gas while asking people if they’d seen a small dachshund.

She drove around some more, eventually finding herself at a traffic stop where she noticed a large crowd gathering. It was very curious.

Chelsea told the Times Union,

“I noticed there were like eight police cars and people with cameras — I thought maybe somebody got shot. I asked them if anyone saw a little brown dog, and they said, ‘Yes, we’ll call her.'”

There was a ray of hope for her when she found out that someone in the crowd had seen a small dog.

A camera crew went on to tell Blackwell that a celebrity had found a small dog. The little canine was wandering around and the celebrity was kind enough to pick it up.

They were able to contact the celebrity.

Blue’s rescuer was none other than two-time Oscar winner Hillary Swank!

Swank arrived in a grey car with a dog on her lap. She got out with Blue wrapped in her arms. She gladly reunited the little dachshund with Chelsea who was super relieved.

“I was like, ‘No way,'” Blackwell said. “As soon as she got out of the car, I kissed Blue and said, ‘Thank you so much.’ ”

Blackwell was super grateful to Swank, now having Blue back safe and unharmed.

And since it was a celebrity, Chelsea took the opportunity to ask for Swank’s autograph but Swank suggested they take a photo instead.

“She’s not the type of person who’s going to blow the horn telling people what she did,” Blackwell said.

The photo made the rounds on social media.
