Andrea Bocelli sings duet with daughter that’s melting hearts
If your taste in music is versatile, you appreciate Andrea Bocelli, the Italian tenor who smoothly blends opera and pop music as no one else can.
When you hear the word ‘opera,’ your mind immediately envisions a stage, heavy curtains, dim lighting, dramatic music, and vocal ranges seemingly out of this world.

Andrea Bocelli strays from tradition but delivers impeccably.
His passion for music surfaced at a young age. He began taking piano lessons when he was six, followed by the flute and saxophone.
And despite an unfortunate accident while playing sports, which left him visually impaired, he carried on, determined.
Music helped finance his education – he would sing at piano bars to pay for schooling.
He chose to pursue a musical career over practicing law.
In 1992, Andrea Bocelli managed to impress none other than Luciano Pavarotti.
Shortly after, Bocelli signed a recording contract and skyrocketed to fame in Europe.
He didn’t stick to opera, either.
In his determination to remain grounded in the music industry with his talent and distinct style, he decided to merge pop and opera, successfully reaching a wider audience.
The talent runs in the family, too.
Apart from Andrea’s son, Matteo, Virginia, Bocelli’s daughter with his second wife, Veronica Berti, is as determined to develop strong vocals as her father.
In fact, heartwarming videos show the young girl being coached by her parents.
Virginia’s song choice is a great one, too.
In the video, she is seen singing along beautifully to “Fall On Me,” a song made famous by Andrea and Matteo, written by A Great Big World.
How fortunate for the determined singer to have her parents and siblings to support, encourage, and train her as she pursues her love for music.
The clip brought joy to countless YouTube users.
One comment read,
“I love how involved her mother is. Lucky girl to have parents who are so encouraging and loving.”
Another user wrote,
“As much as I enjoy Andrea’s singing, sometimes watching him interact with his kids brings me more joy.”
Virginia will undoubtedly be able to reach for her dreams with confidence and joy.
With a strong support system right at home, she will be equipped with all she needs as she pursues music.
Beyond the talent and shared love for singing in the family, there is clearly an abundance of love and encouragement – critical ingredients in ensuring Virginia knows there is nothing she cannot do.
We are fortunate to be given glimpses of the precious bond between Andrea and Virginia!
In an Instagram post, Andrea captions a photo of him and his daughter with a borrowed quote from Marcel Proust, which reads,
“Music is the unique example of what might have been – if the invention of language, the formation of words, the analysis of ideas had not intervened – the means of communication between souls.”
You can see how close the two are by just looking at the photo.
