Andrea Bocelli and daughter stun with a somber, heartfelt cover of "Hallelujah"

Every concert you go to now has to abide by public health measures. COVID really has changed our lives, and not for the better. It’s crazy to think what life was like before 2020.

Andrea Bocelli, like many musicians, had to change how he did public performances thanks to COVID.

The Italian instrumentalist boasts quite the life story. Bocelli is blind thanks to two things: a congenital glaucoma when he was born, and a football accident in his youth that sealed the deal.

But despite his lack of eyesight, Bocelli managed to become an outstanding musician. There’s another “never give up” story for you.

Bocelli brought some Christmas cheer to the world back in 2020 with a beautiful performance of “Hallelujah” just in time for a holy day.

Though for this special Christmas performance, he brought his adorable daughter along with him.

They spared no expense on the set and venue too. It took place at Teatro Regio di Parma, an opera house in Italy.

Look how beautiful this candlelit hall is! It’s definitely the perfect place for a heartfelt melody or two.

His daughter, Virginia, is quite the singer too.

Bocelli is a tenor himself, and I’m willing to bet he was her music mentor. Who else would it be?

If the guitar, the season, and the candlelit venue didn’t make things elegant already, their singing just elevated it to a new level.

Virginia starts off the duet. She’s incredible. You may call it talent, but I prefer to call it skill. Sure, her dad is an accomplished musician himself.

But having talent and a good teacher won’t do anything if you don’t put in the effort yourself. At just 8-years-old, she’s already wowing me.

I guess if Andrea ever needs a duet partner for a show, he can call his daughter.

Maybe he can pay her in snacks and toys too?

Make no mistake, Andrea’s skill with the guitar is jaw-dropping too. He’s been doing this for decades despite his blindness, after all. What’s your excuse?

You don’t earn a title like “multi-instrumentalist” or “Best-selling classical artist” if you’re not at the top of your game.

He’s been winning honors and awards since the 90s. Bocelli is truly a man who lives for music.

Andrea’s voice boasts power and range, but most importantly, control. Breath support and lack of strain take time and practice to master.

Andrea here gets those notes out with the utmost control and elegance in his voice.

In case you didn’t notice, there’s an orchestra backing them up too. I don’t blame you. They father and daughter pair really stole our attention.

These performers are nothing but the best and it really adds that somber, prayerful mood that so many people associate with Christmas time.
