Not all men love to grow their beards.

After all, having a beard is someone’s preference. Others would want to grow theirs, while others prefer a clean look. Each has their reasons.

Some men would prefer to grow their beards.

Some men grow their beards for that very same reason. We bet these are men who look so young without any facial hair that they’re often mistaken as students. Plus, other men look better with a beard!

Other men who prefer a clean look shave them off.

Contrary to those who want to look older, others shave theirs off because they look older than they are. Others also love the way their beard keeps them warm and protect their face. Believe it or not, quite a few men shave their beards for medical reasons.

How about shaving and not shaving as a challenge?

We heard about Movember, the movement where men are challenged to grow their beards for the entire month of November. This is to raise awareness on men’s health.

On the other hand, there is this shaving challenge which is a trend on social media.

For this challenge, fathers are shown playing peek-a-boo with their babies before shaving their beards off. Then, they do the same after they shave. The reactions they get from their children are hilarious!

This video compilation will show you what difference a beard (or having it shaven off) can make.

It’s a compilation of fathers who once had a full beard and surprised their babies after shaving it off. Their reaction to seeing their father without the beard for the first time is adorable and hilarious.

The most common reaction was crying – a lot of them!

These babies probably got surprised (or scared) that they were with a stranger. The first things that babies often associate with their parents are their faces, and with the beard off, they’re completely unrecognizable! Hence, the crying.

But it’s not just the babies who cried.

There were toddlers or even older kids who cried, too. They obviously did not like daddy’s new look or were disappointed in their father’s poor decision-making skills. The usual why-did-you-shave-your-beard-off question was in play here.

Those who could walk walked away. Some even ran!

As we would expect, this is a common reaction when one gets scared. And, yes, kids… you should indeed rub away from strangers and tell Mommy that there’s a strange, odd-looking man on the couch.

Others gave their fathers a second look.

They did not cry or run away, but you can see that they were very confused. They’re probably thinking, ‘is this my Daddy?’ or ‘did daddy’s beard disappear with the towel?’ We might not know exactly what their thinking, but their expression spells confusion; there’s no denying it.

But one of the most adorable reactions were those that still loved daddy, nonetheless.

One kid touched the nose and face of her dad as if trying to reconnect with him by searching for something familiar. Another kid still went near her father and smiled awkwardly. She probably still recognized daddy’s voice whenever he called her name.
