Adorable baby Clydesdale steals the spotlight during mom’s performance

This baby horse does not shy away from attention. In fact, it wants all of it.

Clydesdales may be used for draught power, hauling heavy loads, and such, but this little one would rather have some fun for now. This foal is no fool either.

Mom is part of a show, being one among other beautiful horses as they pull a carriage in front of a huge crowd. But her kid may have gotten bored and like any toddler, got loose and started running around to burn off all that energy.

Clydesdales were bred to meet the demands of farmers as well as commerce for the coalfields of Lanarkshire. Heavy haulage on the streets of Glasgow was made easier thanks to the horse.

The breed’s popularity spread throughout the whole of Scotland and northern England.

They are beautiful horses, with that distinct white on the face running down to the chest and before their hooves. And that frame just screams power for hauling and pulling.

This foal may not be ready to haul yet but capturing the eyes of fans and drawing laughter from onlookers during a serious showing of adult horses is a welcome surprise.

Who says you can’t horseplay?

“See, that horse just wants to impress his mother. He is not running out of fear or nothing which is what I find the funniest. Baby horses are the best lol”

Says an amused viewer.

It’s an open field in a stadium and as mom and her friends prance around, her foal explodes onto the scene, running and kicking around as if dancing to music only the little one can hear.

Clydesdales are active horses. They need to be out and about to flex those muscles. There is a lot of energy in their massive bodies. Energy is bred and developed for a purpose.

Of course, breeders are extra careful as there are standards to be met when caring for such beautiful creatures.

This foal is no exception. It’s obvious this horse gets a lot of care and attention. Just look at that powerful stride with its head up!

What’s impressive is that even though this foal had a little fun, mom and the other horses never broke formation as they continued pulling the carriage.

Even this viewer noticed,

“Hilarious!! But did you notice mom never missed a step? I’ve watched this several times to see if I could see one of the horses break stride or mess up in any way and I can’t see it. That’s good training.”

Now we don’t know if mom told her child where she was heading to but the foal ran off in the same direction as mom and her friends. There are even a few guys running after them.

At least this foal shows promise!
