Every baby is special in their own way. But this baby was able to really wow his parents when he started speaking just two months after being born.

Most babies start to talk when they’re at the one year mark. Gifted babies talk at around the nine-month mark. But baby Jimmy is way ahead of those kids.

Jimmy’s parents knew that their baby was amazing. But like most parents, they assumed that they were getting their hopes up when they thought that he was gifted. Still, they couldn’t help but wonder if little Jimmy was taking it all in.

Then, when the baby was two months old, something happened that shocked the parents. The baby looked up at his mother and said “mom.”

The parents couldn’t quite believe it. So they tried to get Jimmy to say it again. Amazingly, the baby said “mom” again.

At this point, the parents thought that they might just be hearing things. So to prove Jimmy’s intelligence beyond a doubt, they decided to record him speaking to see if the world agreed.

The video began with Jimmy’s mom saying, “Come one, you can say it. I know you want to talk.” Jimmy seemed to understand what the mother was saying.

At first, the baby just smiled up at his mother. But the mother kept on encouraging Jimmy. Then the baby simply said “mom.” It came out loud and clear.

The parents kept on encouraging Jimmy to say it again. A little later, he said “mom” again, just as clearly as last time.

Just after that, Jimmy seemed to say “mom” again but a little less clear. The parents tried to get Jimmy to say it one more time. They got another noise out of him that sounded quite like “mom.”

That was good enough for the parents, but what would be internet say? The parents uploaded the footage to YouTube, where it soon went viral. To date, the video has gained almost 3 million views. It also has over 100,000 likes. Astoundingly, 1,500 people have disliked the video. Sure, Jimmy is speaking eight months too early, but that isn’t good enough for those people!

Jimmy may turn out to be a baby genius. If he’s saying “mom” at two months, just imagine what he’ll go on to achieve when he grows up.

Of course, some geniuses didn’t learn to talk until later in life. One famous example is Albert Einstein, who didn’t speak until he was four.

There are a number of ways to tell if a child is gifted, however.

Village East Gifted, an academic enrichment program for gifted kids aged between two to 15 has compiled a range of ways to detect a gifted toddler/infant. Some of these signs include the baby being born with their eyes wide open, the baby preferring to be awake than asleep or the baby displaying artistic talent before one year of age.

Jimmy is almost certain to go on to display gifted traits!
