8-week-old baby girl says words to her mom
Parents are always on the lookout for their babyâs first words. Sometimes, itâs hard to tell what theyâre saying. At other times, it couldnât be clearer.
Babies are known for their babbling – but sometimes they sneak out a real word here and there, maybe even a phrase.
Thatâs when parents have to have those cameras ready. They donât want to miss it. They donât just record these moments, however. They also share them on social media.
One 8-week-old baby girl is going viral, and she doesnât even know it!
The video starts with the mom talking to her baby. You can hear the baby making gurgling sounds and mumbling a lot. You can tell she has a lot to say.
Then, thereâs a point where mom asks if she had a good Christmas.
By the babyâs reaction, it seems like sheâs picking up what momma is putting down.
After mom talks about Christmas, you can see the baby smile and hear her make noises. She looks like she wants to tell her exactly what she thinks.
But then it gets really interesting. Itâs the moment that has a lot of people talking.
When mom starts talking about how much she and daddy love their child, it actually sounds like the baby responds with an âI love you!â
Of course, some people may beg to differ.
As you sift through the comments on YouTube, there are people who hear the âI love youâ and others who donât. One person asks, âWho else didnât hear that?â while another says âThatâs seriously amazing.â
Maybe your mood affects if you will hear it or not. Who knows? But, one thing is for sure: talking to your baby has its perks.
Studies show that talking to babies from birth, as well as reading to them, sets them up for success in school.
Researchers have found that children whose parents donât often speak to them perform worse in language tests. By 24 months, some are behind their peers by at least 6 months.
So, maybe it doesnât really matter whether the baby was saying âI love youâ or not. The most important thing is that this mom is talking to her baby.
Parents are encouraged to talk to their babies when theyâre doing everyday tasks, like preparing meals and getting ready for bath time. Itâs also important not to use baby talk. While some parents may think that type of talk makes it easier for babies to understand, some researchers say that speaking slowly in a sing-song voice may actually make it harder to understand and learn. For the most part, it’s better if you just talk to them normally.
It seems as though baby talk interests a lot of people. Whether itâs scientific studies analyzing babiesâ speech or videos of babies talking, people are definitely interested in what these little munchkins have to say. After all, the video weâve been talking about has received more than nine million views in the three years it has been online.
Is the baby really saying âI love youâ?
