They called it a “Scottish” version.

There are no lyrics to this cover, but they added their own spin to make it uniquely Scottish. The video captures the powerful energy of the song with some bagpipes, aerial scenic shots of Scotland, and some well placed “HUA’s” from some Scotlanders.

Opening up with stunning landscape views, The Piano Guys start their song with snare drums and bagpipes.

Soon, the snares are backed by keys and the song takes off in the familiar melody of Rachel Platten’s hit. Using keys, a cello, and a host of other instruments, the spirit of the song can’t help but inspire and lift the spirit.

After a few of the verses and the chorus, the skills of the pianist and cellist shows through.

Fluttering through the notes, it is almost as if there are little butterflies floating through each piece of the melody. When we first heard Rachel Platten’s “Fight Song” we were inspired by its message. In a world where we too often talk about our differences, we have at least one thing in common. We all struggle.
