Apart from that it is easy to do, what’s amazing about this pot-making idea is that you can customize the size of the pots according to your needs.

It may be a tutorial video but it doesn’t limit you to adding more materials and being more creative with the way you make them.

All you need to have are the following:

  • Inflatable balloons – any size, and color
  • Stones – preferably 1-inch x 2-inch in size
  • Adhesive – strong enough to hold the stones together

Note: Since you’d be working on balloons, you may use other alternative adhesives aside from a glue gun (as shown in the video). But if you are confident enough with your skills, then go ahead with a glue gun, just be careful not to put it too close to the balloon to avoid it popping.

Put in mind that the balloon will act like your stone pot molder, so you better not pop it.

If you are ready with the materials, then let’s get this started.

Step 1: Inflate your balloon to a certain size that matches your need.

Step 2: Lay it on top of a roll of masking tape and make sure that the knotted part is on top and the round top part is underneath facing the masking tape.

Step 3: Put a round-shaped container lid or any round-shaped object on top of the knotted part. Then grab a marker and draw a line tracing that object, which is going to be the opening/mouth of your stone flower pot.

Step 4: Position the balloon on top of the masking tape again, only this time, the knotted part goes under.

Step 5: Indulge yourself in shaping your pot using stones. Grab one stone at a time and glue them to each other. If you are using a glue gun, make sure to maintain a safe distance between it and the balloon.

Step 6: Fill the balloon with stones all the way to the marker near the knotted area. Once you’re done, just pop the balloon and enjoy the fruit of your labor.
