Barber calls boy the “dumbest kid in the world” only to be proved wrong in the end
Let’s be honest. Kids are naturally jolly.
That innocence combined with their enthusiastic curiosity. It leads to some of the most ridiculous, hilarious moments that people can’t get enough of.
Then there are those times when that endearing innocence makes adults look foolish.
When it comes to adults, not all of them are kind to children, with some being downright mean. So when a child puts them in their place, it only serves them right.
However, the young boy mentioned here is far smarter.
“Dumbest kid in the world…”
A young boy enters a barber shop and the barber whispers to his customer, “This is the dumbest kid in the world. Watch while I prove it to you.”
The barber puts a dollar bill in one hand and two quarters in the other, then calls the boy over and asks:
“Which do you want, son?”
The boy takes the quarters and leaves.
“What did I tell you?” said the barber. “That kid never learns!”
Later, when the customer leaves, he sees the same young boy coming out of the ice cream store.
“Hey, son! May I ask you a question? Why did you take the quarters instead of the dollar bill?”
The boy licked his cone and replied:
“Because the day I take the dollar, the game is over!”
It’s up to you to decide whether the boy is being wise or if he’s a potential criminal.
Or who knows, he might be the modern-day Robin Hood for kids if he shares his money with his friends.
After all, who doesn’t enjoy ice cream? If you gave me money, I’d buy ice cream, too. I’ll go ahead with my favorite flavor, dark chocolate.
Depending on how my day goes…
I might also have a drink or a cup of coffee with some friends.
That barber isn’t as clever as he thinks he is. To think he’s willing to show his customer how “dumb” the kid was.
But he met his match with this quarter-loving kid!
There are movies about children outwitting adults. Of course, there’s Home Alone, Matilda, and, if you’ve seen it, Richie Rich.
Kids getting the better of adults is a common theme in fantasy-type shows as well!
Nothing beats a good laugh.
Especially the ones that are short stories. They are best told in the company of friends and family around a table full of drinks (and food of course).
Nothing brings people closer together like food and laughter.
Pat the kid on the back for outwitting a wisecracking barber.
He turned it into a game for ice cream, and who knows what else he’s up to.
And, while tricking someone into giving you money repeatedly is wrong, it’s a whole different story when it’s an adult picking on a child.
