When getting a new pet, not all people feel comfortable about adopting shelter dogs. They worry about getting a pet that’s not trained or healthy enough to live with them.

But, here’s the thing:

Adopting shelter dogs could be one of the best decisions you’ll make in your life. They offer loyalty, unconditional love, and overwhelming gratitude.

One woman is sharing the beauty of adoption through photos.

Meriah Jae’s sister has adopted a sheltered pit bull. To show how proud she was of her, she decided to make a collage.

It was supposed to be a simple tribute.

She collected several photos of the dog and turned them into a collage. Then, she posted it on her Twitter account.

To Meriah’s surprise, her post turned viral quickly.

Along with the photos, she shared:

“so my sis adopted her very first dog and his before and after pics have me crying. adopt don’t shop ”

Her post amassed more than 300,000 likes.

Well, that’s not surprising. The dog’s transformation was incredible.

Looking at the first photo, you can definitely tell how unsure and sad the dog was.

He was just sitting on a bed, looking at people passing by. He looked so lonely.

Then, he started showing his personality.

As you go through the pictures, you’ll notice the dog smiling more and more. Even his eyes changed. They started to look happier and more alive.

The photos show the dog’s fun adventures.

It’s obvious that he loves the water and he likes playing in the sand. He loves wearing flower crowns, too!

Meriah’s post gained a lot of positive comments.

One Twitter user commented:

“He so beautiful and angelic oh my god, please tell him I love him.”

Another one said:

“This is beautiful story. We should spread awareness about adoption and hopefully world will turn into better place”

A Twitter user commented:

“Seriously get so happy looking at these. He went from looking the most sad to by far the most happy. So adorable.”

Apart from the positive comments, people started sharing photos of their pets, too!

The photos are just heartwarming. For example, there’s this dog that’s clearly living his best life after getting adopted. Even though he’s just been rescued a couple of months ago in this photo, you can tell how happy he was.

There are also these dogs that look super charming. The way they’re rocking their bandanas is just amazing. Even a cat person found them very handsome.

There’s nothing wrong with adopting shelter dogs.

It’s not their fault that they were abandoned. It’s not their fault that their former owners can’t give them the love they deserve.

Shelter dogs are special. They’ll remain loyal to you for the rest of their lives. They know how to express gratitude and show affection to the person who gave them a second chance at life. They know how to make humans happy, too. They’ll shower you with lots of hugs and kisses whenever they can.
