Cat keeps on hilariously interrupting actor’s audition tape

Anyone who owns a cat knows that they seek out attention at the most inconvenient times, like in an important Zoom meeting or even TV interviews. For some, however, like in the case of Wesley Ryan – an audition tape.
Wesley is an actor who recently appeared on the “Angelica” tour of Hamilton.
He shares his apartment with a Bengal cat named Odie and discovers how difficult filming audition tapes can be with Odie.

You see, Odie keeps on interrupting Wesley by jumping on him several times as he records an audition tape.
He shared his outtakes on Tiktok and Odie undeniably stole the show. In both videos, we can see Wesley attempting to introduce himself only to be bothered by his adorably needy cat.

“Typically when I have an audtion, because he is so involved in everything that I do I usually put him in my room,” Wesley recalled in an interview.
The actor kept on repeating “My name is Wesley Ryan, I’m 6 feet tall and I’m based in New York City” because Odie interrupts him without fail. On multiple occasions, Odie kept on jumping to his leg or his arms.

When he isn’t jumping on Wesley, we can either see the cat’s tail as he walks by or meowing loudly in response to the actor’s voice.
“You can’t. You have to let me do this. Go, go away.”

Wesley wore a tucked shirt on his second audition tape and as expected, Odie kept on stealing the show. He repeatedly flung himself to the actor’s arms or on his legs.
There were times that Wesley was already annoyed but Odie was just too cute and clingy!

“Usually cats are like I’ll come to you when I feel like coming to you. But he’s quite the opposite, he needs to be directly up in my space.”
It’s not the first time that Wesley shared to his followers how Odie can be clingy – in one video he was using his phone when his cat suddenly decided to sleep on his arm.

But Odie was truly his best friend since he was mainly his companion when cities were shut down and everyone was in quarantine due to the virus.
“This is the first time I’ve been a pet dad myself. I was on the national tour of ‘Hamilton’ before everything shut down. And we just don’t have the opportunity to do our jobs socially distant in live theater.”

Wesley continues on, saying, “I would not have gotten through the last eight months without him. My mental health would not have been where it is now if I didn’t have him to focus on, something to push for.”
After being shared on Twitter, his videos instantly became viral.
There was nothing but love in the comments section, with viewers even suggesting to leave Odie on the shot.

But one thing is for sure: even if Wesley takes him out on the audition tape, he will definitely keep Odie with him for a very, very long time.
