It’s been nearly 10 years since “Ultimate Dog Tease” was first posted by the YouTube channel Talking Animals and on that platform alone it’s been viewed over 202 MILLION times.

It all began with a call for animal videos. Talking Animals lets people with pets send in clips of their extra-vocal pets (or at least ones that like to move their mouths) in order to turn them into funny clips in which they pretend there’s a conversation going on.

Sounds silly at first, right?

Well, it’s also hilarious. In fact, most commenters are convinced it will never get old.

“5 years of watching this vid & i never tire of it, it’s great for morale. I want to wholeheartedly thank this guy and his awesome dog for putting many smiles onto my face. It keeps a retired 🇬🇧 soldier seriously amused at times when I’m feeling blue,” said one viewer.

The dog in the video is Clark.

Clark Griswold, to be exact. At the time of filming, he was a 2-1/2-year-old Dutch Shepherd mix living in Colorado.

After his viral fame, he got his own Facebook page and swag shop!

And you’ll be happy to know the old guy is still around!

He looks a little older (don’t we all?) but he’s still adorable.

Ok, so what did he do to get famous?

Well, once “Talking Animals” dubbed a voice onto him while his mouth was moving, the story went something like this:

His owner went to the fridge and opened up the meat drawer.

“Yeah, yeah,” he “says” with bated breath.

It turns out he took out the bacon. The maple kind (which is not Clark’s trademark phrase because of the face he made in response).

Who doesn’t love the maple bacon?! (Ok, except vegetarians.)

Except that dad says he ATE the bacon to which Clark replies with much chagrin. MUCH CHAGRIN.

He just can’t believe his dad would do such a thing – and with the maple bacon too!

Where’s the beef?

Disgusted with his dad’s selfishness, Clark looks away.

Until the word “beef” comes up, that is.

Well, it turns out he ate that too – and it was a big, juicy steak.

Clark uses the only weapon he has at his disposal – sweet puppy eyes.

That’s when his dad tells him he went BACK to the fridge. So there’s hope yet that Clark could get something out of this.

Clark: denied

This time it’s chicken. Dad put together something really special.

And while Clark it’s pleased about the possibility of getting fooled thrice, he can’t help but be interested in at least hearing about the chicken.

He is a dog after all – and look at this face!

In fact, this chicken has cheese on it!

But then something terrible happens. He’s put one more thing on top.

CAT TREATS!

Clark can’t even believe he’s living in the kind of world where something like this would happen.

And when he finds out dad cruelly gave it all to the cat – surely a joke, but how could he know?! – it’s all over.
