A viral video of three dogs standing sentinel over a litter of tiny newborn kittens is putting the stereotype of dogs hating all cats to shame.

While dogs and cats have been depicted as the universe’s most natural rivals for years in books and movies and, sometimes, in real life, it really isn’t the case for all or even the majority of them. It really all just depends on how they come to know each other.

This trio of canines, comprised of a Husky and two adoring Golden retrievers, are the epitome of love when they meet the newborn kittens.

It’s clear that the dogs’ humans have the utmost faith in their compassionate nature. The kittens are so tiny that they look like they’re only just a few days old. Most people would be too worried about the dogs hurting the kittens, even accidentally. The video goes to show, though, that with the right pack you’ve got nothing to worry about.

The tiny kittens haven’t even opened their eyes yet, but the Husky and retrievers are there to guide them.

The humans place the entire litter of tiny kittens on a big soft blanket in the video.

The doggy trio is immediately absorbed by the tiny kittens. Though they are all massive by comparison, they turn into a bunch of mushy gentle giants when they see the vulnerable kitties. They take their time as they gently ease closer to the kitties to have a few good sniffs.

The two Golden retrievers are a lot more concerned with the kittens’ personal space. They keep themselves at the edge of the blanket, hovering over the adorable kitties. The Husky, on the other hand, isn’t nearly so shy.

He stands right in the middle of the blanket and kittens so he can get a closer look. Of course, mama and daddy kitty are right next to him to make sure the Husky minds his P’s and Q’s.

As their human administers some milk through a syringe to one of the kittens, the dogs take it upon themselves to babysit the rest of the bunch.

After being all fed, the human moves the kittens into a cozy wagon stuffed with soft blankets. The Husky and Golden retrievers seem to be mesmerized with their tiny new friends. Each of them gathers around the wagon to stare in awe at the tiny wonders.

One little kitty, in particular, seems to take a shining to her big, furry protectors.

In the video, you can see it slowly crawl up toward one of the retrievers. As it tries to stand up and crawl on the dog’s face, the Husky is adorably concerned for its welfare.

Clearly worried the kitten might accidentally crawl over the edge of the wagon and fall out, the Husky moves his nose to block the kitty’s path and pushes him close to the retriever. When he does, the tiny kitten is rewarded with some much-loved Golden kisses.

The second Golden retriever hangs out at the other end of the wagon, enchanted by the loving scene in front of him.

Roughly halfway through the adorable video, one of the Goldens even crawls up in the wagon to cuddle.

The kittens in the wagon are gently nudged and kissed over and over by the Husky and retrievers. Then, the video takes us on a time jump. The kittens are older, but not by much. Though they are growing into their personalities, one thing clearly hasn’t changed a bit.

They still love to nudge and love on their big, furry, doggy brothers!

They still like to crawl and stumble over them, and in the video one kitty even hides in the floppy ear of one of the Goldens. All you can see is his adorable, tiny butt sticking out with his wagging tail.

This video is guaranteed to be one of the sweetest things you have ever seen. It just goes to show that when it comes to love, all things are possible.
