People shopping for a home crack up when they see Bigfoot modeling in the real estate photos

If you’re looking for the missing link between humans and other primates, you can find in and around 5649 Hillside Drive in Felton California.

At least that’s where he appears to be selling his house right now.

And Bigfoot had a pretty big mortgage too. The 5 bedroom, 3 bathroom, 1,872 square foot home is currently listed at $999,000.

Apparently an even $1 million would have been a turn-off for someone looking for a home in the San Lorenzo Valley.

A sale is currently pending as of June 1st – and we’d love to know just how much of the buyer’s interest had to do with the very unique real estate photos posted on the home’s website.

Bored Panda spoke with the property’s listing agent, Daniel Oster, about the photos – and apparently this was all HIS idea.

“During our initial photoshoot, the Bigfoot idea popped into my mind. The sellers immediately supported the idea, and we all hoped that it would bring a bit of levity to people on their home buying adventure,” he said.

We’re not sure if his commission goes up when he brings costumes to the shoots, but he was pretty lucky to find some clients with a good sense of humor.

At the end of the day they just wanted to sell the house, but making people laugh along the way was an added bonus (especially considering the state of the world right now).

“A lot of folks are under a lot of stress now, and we were hoping to lighten people’s day and make them smile. At the same time, hoping to spread awareness of their home for sale. And that does indeed seem to be happening. We’ve had an overwhelming amount of interest in folks calling to schedule appointments to see the property,” he told Bored Panda.

This wacky idea is far from his usual flair, though it’s having the desired effect of going viral.

“I’ve never done anything like this before in my listings. Typically, just focusing on really high-end photography and targeted marketing approaches. With a combination of the right property for Bigfoot and the right timing, this seems to be going viral. I don’t anticipate doing this approach again because it could be overused. But it’s been a great success so far, and I love getting to use a bit of humor to market the property.”

Oddly enough, this isn’t the first time someone has used a Bigfoot costume to sell a home.

Who knew?!

Last year, Century 21 Goldfire Realty agent Shauna Bailey listed a home in Ravenna, Ohio that had Bigfoot lurking about.

But the California abode is pretty next level.

And if you look beyond the hairy Sasquatch (that hopefully won’t leave any hair behind or come out of the woods to play), it’s a very modern home considering it was built in 1939.

There’s even a little guest house out back if you decide you want to keep the mythical creature!

And why wouldn’t you if he bakes cookies and is handy with power tools?!

No doubt many more creatures live in the forest surrounding the property and its magnificent redwoods.

And Bigfoot can keep them from getting too close while he’s outside gardening!

You’d need to be a nature lover to live out here – but the bonus is that if you distract the Sasquatch, there appears to be quite a bit of privacy.

And while the house looks like it will probably sell in the near future, these things can still fall through. So if you’re a fan of wood-burning stoves, green, leafy views, and lots of wrap-around porch space, there still may be hope.

Bigfoot is not included, but you could probably ask the realtor to throw in the costume.
