Biracial twins spread message of love and equality
Who doesn’t love babies? They can bring a smile to our faces even on the most difficult and saddest of days. And especially when they come in numbers more than one.
Twins!
Two babies that everyone expects to look alike, dressed in matching clothes and accessories.
However, what you will see today in our story it might surprise you as you would have never imagined it could be scientifically possible.

Meet the adorable Dean Twins, Jarani and Kalani, born to Whitney Meyer and Tomas Dean, a biracial couple, parents to other two children. And as you can see, the twins have inherited something from each of their parents.

Baby Kalani was born with fair skin, resembling more her mother in that sense, who is white, while baby Jalani was born with brown skin, like her dad who is black.
The mother told TODAY, “They look alike in their smiles, but I have to dress them the same because nobody believes that they are twins. I mean, nobody”.

The two girls aren’t just adorable but with their uniqueness have managed to turn many many heads wherever they happen to go, as they are a symbol against racism and discrimination, showing to everyone that the skin “color” isn’t important, love is.

The babies’ dad told TODAY, “I was like, ‘Yeah, she’s a little light,’ but I thought maybe babies are that way when they’re first born. But then a couple of minutes later, her sister came out a little darker,” and he admitted that “in a million years, I never thought I’d have a girl with blue eyes. I didn’t think I could pull that one off!”

The two girls are the cutest and make us smile with their playful and adorable poses in front of the lens.
Now, they are nearly five years old and as you can see in the pictures they are just thriving.

It’s not the first time that twins are born to a biracial couple, inheriting different genes from their parents.
In 1997, the Aylmer twins were born in the U.K to a white father and a half-Jamaican mother. The scientific community like the rest of the world was surprised to see a pair of twins so different from each other.

Lucy was had fair skin and red hair, resembling her father, while Mary had darker skin and black hair, like her mother. The rest of the Aylmer siblings were a beautiful mix of both of their parents.
As you can see in the pictures the girls look nothing alike but they are in fact, TWIN sisters, who share many of the mental bonds and sensitivities the twins are rumored to have. As the girls grew up, you can see that nobody could mistake them for siblings and even more twins.

Nature has its way to show us what is important in life. Things like skin color or place of birth are trivial in front of meaningful relationships based on love and respect.
