Woman on high alert when Ring cam shows stranger on lawnmower outside blind mother's home

Lots of people have doorbells with cameras on them! The utility that they have is incredible, especially as a security measure. One of the results of having a security camera on almost everyone’s doorstep is some funny things getting captured on tape. This story might never have happened if it weren’t for a video doorbell!

Lawnmowers are a common sound that we hear during spring.

Spring means rain and rain means grass. Grass grows so much faster in the spring and summer than in the winter! As a result, you can almost guarantee that this Saturday morning you will be woken up by your neighbor mowing their lawn at 7 in the morning. One camera caught a man mowing grass that wasn’t his!

One blind woman had a surprise of a lifetime when a stranger visited where she was staying.

Ann Darby had her mom visit to see her newborn daughter. Rebecca, Ann’s mom, is totally blind and was happy to come visit the new addition to the family! As she was visiting, however, the lockdown kicked into place and she got stuck at her daughter’s house!

With Ann having her mother and kids stuck in the house with her, she was struggling to keep up with the household chores.

Helping her kids with schoolwork and raising a newborn is a pretty full plate! As a result, Ann couldn’t keep up with cutting the grass, especially as often as was needed in the springtime.

Trying to get a landscaper to help, it ended up falling through.

Their time has been stretched thin with all that she and her husband have to do.

“Since we have a newborn, I haven’t been able to get up there to mow, as we’re trying to do our part to stay at home. And my husband is a truck driver delivering oxygen, and has been running all over and hasn’t made it up there.”

While Rebecca was home, she heard the Ring Doorbell going off, detecting motion in the front yard.

Letting her daughter know that someone was in the yard, they went to investigate. Upon looking, they saw a man in a zero-turn mowing their lawn for them!

After posting his picture on Facebook, they were finally able to find the man to thank him.

They originally thought it was the city because of the green shirt the man was wearing but when they called, they said it wasn’t them! After posting it to Facebook, the got a response.

“We found out who mowed her lawn. It turned out to be a neighbor a few houses down from her. Thank you so much! Even if it took 5 minutes on a zero-turn, he took the time out of his day to do it. Time can never be replaced, which makes it the most valuable gift someone can give. It comforts me to know that there are people on my mom’s block that look out for her when I’m not up there.”

A beautiful story that restores our faith in humanity!
