Boxer dogs spot friend in kennel and make sure the coast is clear before breaking him out
Ever looked at your dogs and thought “What is going on in their head right now?”
You can imagine different scenarios of chasing after their tail, planning their next move to take down the vacuum cleaner, and maybe planning a bank heist.
These pups had bigger fish to fry.
They’re planning a ‘jail break’.
An owner of a Bichon Frise might be wondering how their dog kept escaping.
The gaps between the wires of the cage are small enough for a paw at most and it has a lock that prevents any puppy from getting out on its own.
But that was their first mistake.
They thought the little puppy was just at it alone. And funnily enough, they never expected who the culprits were.
The owners revealed the accomplices in a minute-long video.
The video features two larger dogs like the Bichon Frise’s most trusted enforcers.
The two boxers walked around the cage, acting all natural to avoid any unnecessary attention.
They were definitely up to something.
Their motto is clearly inspired by that of the Marines- no dog left behind.
They only have one shot at this so they need to execute this operation with perfection.
The two studied the cage.
You can see their heads darting from one spot to another like taking in the intricacies of this detention device.
However, it seemed like this wasn’t the first time these boxers busted something out from Alcatraz.
When they thought no one was looking, they put their plan in motion.
They sprang into action.
One of the boxers, Bella, nibbled onto the latch that was holding the lock together.
Meanwhile, the other boxer vigilantly looked away from the cage to watch anyone who might approach Bella.
Free in 10.
In under 10 seconds, the boxer bit the latch, lifted it up, and sprang the door open, almost like it was second nature.
But it seemed that the great escape was not part of the plan.
Bella can be seen, from the very start, interested in the mat that the Bichon Frise was sitting on.
And even when she successfully busted the cage doors open, Bella’s attention was still targeted on the mat.
Great escape? More like a great heist.
And these dogs, unfortunately, would have to clear that up with the authorities because they’ve just been recorded doing the crime with some red paws to match.
This wasn’t an isolated case.
“My Boxers used to take the block out of the doggie door so they could go outside when I had locked them in! Smart, ingenious, and I was stunned.” Recalled one in the comment section, “No one believed me until my neighbor was there when they did it!”
“My boxer Bailey is 12.5 years old and still checks to see if the front door is unlocked so she can open it to let herself and my other 2 dogs out.” Another owner recalled, “Many times I have run down the road after them their ears flapping in the wind as they make their bid for freedom.”
