Some dogs are very good at letting us know when something is not going their way.

While we don’t have a shared language with dogs, they can communicate with us and we can communicate with them.

The boxer in this video knows exactly how to explain to his human father that he is upset that some delicious cheese is not being shared with him.

It’s no laughing matter, either.

Bacchus is the name of the dog and he’s got a whole series of videos on YouTube.

The rather photogenic and communicative boxer has won the internet over for his various antics.

“Bacchus is a very energetic boxer dog that loves to play. He is stubborn, sassy, and loves attention!” his YouTube profile explains.

Bacchus would very much like some cheese.

In a video that would later be posted to his channel, Bacchus can be seen and heard trying to communicate that he would like some of the cheese that is being eaten.

He lets out the most adorable whines and whimpers in the hopes of getting to taste some of that delicious cheese.

“What do you want, huh?” dad finally asks in the video.

“Bacchus knows there is cheese in the kitchen and wants it!” the video’s caption explains regarding the situation.

Can dogs have cheese?

Watching this video might make you wonder if it is okay to give your dog cheese. Dogs have trouble digesting dairy products, as some humans do as well.

The Puppy Mag notes that while this is a high-value treat for dogs, it could give them some digestive issues.

“It’s no secret that Boxers love cheese… In fact, cheese is something that nearly all dogs love, and it’s frequently used as a high-value treat,” The Puppy Mag writes. “Boxers just like all dogs are lactose intolerant in varying degrees. Cheese is a dairy product and therefore causes a lot of digestive issues and stomach sensitivity.”

According to the American Kennel Club, however, it is okay for dogs to have a little bit of cheese. It’s still best not to give them too much, however.

“Yes, dogs can eat cheese. In fact, cheese is often a great training tool, especially for puppies. But should dogs eat cheese? While some dogs can eat cheese, and most dogs love it, many dogs can be intolerant of cheese. Even for dogs that are able to tolerate cheese, it is probably best fed in moderation,” they write.

Bacchus’ video begging for cheese is one of the most popular on his channel. As of this writing, it has been viewed almost 90,000 times. Many people who have watched it have felt compelled to leave a comment as well.

“I would have gave in after 5 seconds,” wrote one viewer.

“Poor guy just wants some cheese. Give the Guy SOME CHEESE !!!” wrote another.

“This is better if you imagine him saying “MOM!!! CHEESE!!!” every time he speaks :). also, great name! he must be a spirited fellow.”
