Brittany Young is a singer and songwriter from Oklahoma who posts great acoustic music. She’s is also the mom of Daisy May, a particularly sassy boxer, and the most popular subject of her YouTube videos.

Since she uploaded a hilarious clip of the dog 7 years ago, she’s received over 2.8 million views of her pup.

Runaway dog

Boxers can be stubborn and when they’re reprimanded (or just generally annoyed) they can throw a mean side-eye. And that’s just what Daisy May did.

She’s not the kind of dog that wants to be told what to do, such as staying in the house. So on this fateful day in 2013, she managed to get out and run down the street to her friends’ house. It’s something she does pretty often if her mom’s reaction is any indication.

When Young went to fetch her dog that day, she turned on her camera as well – and we’re so glad she did.

Getting caught

Daisy can run petty far, it seems, because her mom had to come pick her up in the car. And when the boxer gets in, her mom jokingly scolds her a bit.

“Come on let’s go,” mom says.

The cranky boxer is already grunting with dissatisfaction for getting her playtime cut short. You know the feeling, right? It’s like being young and having a great time with friends and then hearing your parents pull up to end it all.

Yawning, huffing, and whining, Daisy makes her feelings known. And as the car pulls away, she hangs her head and keeps her tail tucked between her legs.

She’s MAD!

The long ride home

Not even Daisy’s brother Mac – who was riding along in the car – could help lift her spirits.

“You know you’re not supposed to be here right?” Young asks her pooch. “And yet you come over here every day.”

Daisy is clearly unimpressed and plotting some revenge.

“This isn’t your house,” she continues.”You need to stay home with Mac; he’s your friend. You leave him there by himself all the time, every day. And then we have to come get you when its time to eat dinner.”

It sounds like Mac just isn’t cutting it as a playmate. And from what we could see behind the boxer when her mom came to pick her up, her 4-legged friend of choice may be a horse!

No forgiveness

We’re pretty sure Daisy got over the whole escapade eventually (and probably ran away a few more times), but in the meantime, she looks like she’s a little kid insisting that she’s never going to forgive her mom.

She constantly looks the other way and refuses to give her mom or Mac any attention at all.

Poor Mac.

Sass attack

Mom is not about to give up on her lecture just because the dog is pouting though.

“Daisy I’m talking to you. Why do you do it every day? You leave Mac alone by himself and then you get mad at us when we come get you. Why don’t you like staying home?”

She’s unimpressed by the attempt at a guilt trip.

“We like it when you’re home. We miss you! Just say you’re sorry.”

Daisy finally lets out a little whine, but it’s unclear if that’s remorse or more backtalk.
