Shy toddler runs towards police officer to give him a heartwarming hug

Seeing the world through the innocent eyes of a child must be absolutely beautiful, as they only tend to see the goodness in the world and would love to share some of their love with their family, friends, and even complete strangers. It’s often said that small gestures and acts of kindness can go a very long way, but when those simple gestures are made by children, let alone toddlers, it’s almost always an absolutely heartfelt and emotional moment.

A three-year-old toddler was having dinner at McDonald’s and suddenly spotted a police officer. He decided to run towards the officer to give him a hug!

This absolutely beautiful moment came out of the blue, and the police officer himself was definitely touched by the whole interaction. Luckily, the boy’s mom took out her smartphone and captured the heartfelt minutes for all of us to enjoy.

It all happened at the fast-food restaurant in Fort Worth, and the little boy T.J. couldn’t help but notice the police officer who was enjoying a meal as well. Mom Jamie Hubbard heart’s completely melted when she saw what transpired.

The toddler is a huge motorcycle lover, and he also spotted the motorcycle of the police officer parked right outside of the joint.

It was definitely a talking topic for Jamie and her son, and the two even joked that T.J. should take the bike for a spin outside. The little boy then amassed all of his courage and headed towards the police officer to say “hello,” but mainly to ask him a bold question: if he could actually ride the bike.

The man, Officer Colter, responded to him with a laugh that his boss probably wouldn’t like that.

After all, letting a young child ride around in the city with such a large motorcycle, it just doesn’t seem like a very good idea. However, the police officer didn’t want to disappoint this adorable little boy and wanted to do something to brighten up his day anyway.

Right after their nice talk, Officer colter headed outside in the pouring rain to his motorcycle to grab a police badge sticker. He then asked T.J. to come over and gave him a small gift.

You can immediately tell that T.J is absolutely grateful and his mom decided to jump in.

“He wanted to give you a hug!” mom then told Officer Colter.

“Oh he wanted to give me a hug? Okay!” the surprised officer then simply responded, after which he leaned towards the little boy and gave him a big hug.

The embrace between this police officer and the innocent toddler is absolutely heartwarming, and it’s clear that it meant a lot for both of them. T.J. is actually an extremely shy kid and it would take a lot of courage for him to talk to strangers, let alone give one a hug – something that he has never done before. Nonetheless, he couldn’t help but give the kind officer a warm embrace as a thank you for his small gift and his kindness.
