13-year-old plays Queen classic drawing neighbors out of homes

Health care workers everywhere have had their work cut out for them since the spread of COVID-19. People all around the world are finding special ways to thank them for their dedication and bravery. In the UK, every Thursday night at 8 PM they have ‘Clap For Carers’ where people come outside their houses to clap for the workers on the frontlines.

Last month during ‘Clap For Carers,’ this teenage boy played a Queen song for his neighbors in honor of UK’s health workers

Cole Lam is an extremely talented 13-year-old boy from the UK, who played a heartwarming piece dedicated to the National Health Service in his country. Playing ‘Don’t Stop Me Know’ by Queen, the young musician stuns his neighbors who’ve gathered outside.

Cole has quite a presence on YouTube, with 369k people who subscribe to his channel. The 13-year-old posts videos of him live streaming and playing in malls for massive crowds. Many of his videos go viral gaining millions of views.

Cole sits down and starts playing the popular Queen song beautifully

With his neighbors gathered outside of their houses, he begins owning the legendary song on his Yamaha keyboard. It’s immediately obvious that the teenager has some serious skills.

He doesn’t hold back one bit, jumping right into the hardest parts of the song with ease. His neighbors even managed to get a car with emergency lights since it’s for NHS.

At one point in the performance, Cole stands up to really hammer down on his instrument

You can tell the music just speaks to him, the 13-year-old stands up while playing the electric music. His neighbors start cheering and clapping as he bounces above his keyboard.

Cole has good reason to be playing during ‘Clap For Carers,’ especially because he has paramedics and nurses for neighbors. He thanks them in the YouTube caption saying:

“We have a paramedic and a nurse as our neighbors, and it’s great that they can be here to see the appreciation, as sometimes they are working during the event. Thank you all carers, medical and support staff as well as all keyworkers for keeping the country and us going!”

Cole sits back down to finish his performance, but his neighbors have something special for the end of the show

As Cole comes to the end of the song he doesn’t skip a beat, even adding some of his own sounds in for a little bit of practice. You can tell this is a really close neighborhood that supports each other, they go nuts for the piano prodigy even blaring some emergency sirens for him.

Cole has some videos that light the internet on fire, one of them even has a whopping 43million views and 641k likes. In that video, Cole plays ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ by Queen for a huge mall crowd.
