It’s not too uncommon, but you surely don’t see an eleven-year-old boy showing his magic every day. He performed his own rendition of “Moonlight Sonata”, and it was just absolutely stunning, to say the least.

This public piano in the United Kingdom was made possible thanks to the efforts of the “Play Me, I’m Yours” project.

Luke Jerram is the mastermind behind the whole movement, and the artist and his team have already installed over 2000 pianos in over 65 cities! There’s only one simple instruction: “Play Me, I’m Yours.” What makes this project even more special, is that the local community and artists are actually invited to decorate the public pianos.

“Located on streets, in public parks, markets and train stations the pianos are available for everyone to play and enjoy. Play Me, I’m Yours invites the public to engage with, activate and take ownership of their urban environment, and to share their love of music and the visual arts. Decorated by local artists and community groups, our street pianos create a place for exchange and an opportunity for people to connect,” their website states.

It doesn’t matter if you’re a super talented pianist or just a beginner who wants to have some fun: literally everyone is encouraged to play some tunes.

These pianos have definitely brightened up neighborhoods and have become a place where people hang out and connect with each other.

One of the people who decided to take a seat was the 11-year-old boy George Harliono.

George saw the piano at a park in Soho, London, and he just couldn’t resist demonstrating his musical abilities. He even chatted with some adults around the public piano and asked them if it was okay to play a bit. The men didn’t mind at all and were curious to see what this kid could do with a piano.

As soon as he starts playing, everyone in the area can’t believe what they’re hearing.

You can just see the faces of the people changing when George starts playing. He opted for more classical music, as he played “The Lark” by Mikhail Glinka and Mili Balakirev first. It’s a difficult composition with a lot of emotions, but George managed to recreate the meaning of the message perfectly.

As a crowd started forming and more and more people gathered, George kept on playing and mesmerizing everyone.

It’s absolutely stunning how this boy manages to perform such difficult, classical songs with the utmost precision and rhythm. Even the fastest and most challenging passages aren’t a problem at all for this musically talented kid.

After loud applause and cheers from the audience, George decided to save the best for last.

He then performed “Moonlight Sonata” by Beethoven, an infamously difficult song that is also known as Movement 3.

It didn’t take long before the audience was in complete awe of this little boy’s talent. Aside from the crowd, George also won over the hearts of the internet. He uploaded a video of his performance on YouTube, which has amassed over 7,6 million views!
