Dreaming of success in certain aspects is normal for humans, which can happen even at a young age. Some people realize what they want while they are still young and others recognize what they want to be later in life.

It is quite inspiring when we see people doing whatever it takes to make their dreams come true. Persevering and really working hard to realize your dreams is not easy, especially if you are still a young boy, just like Niko, a young boy from Nashville dreaming to be a soccer player someday.

Even the slightest effort makes a huge difference if you do it sincerely for something you want to accomplish.

Niko may still be an elementary student, but he already knows what he wants. His goal is to be a soccer player and one of the best ways to realize his dream is by joining competitions where he can showcase his talent.

His team is about to compete in Portugal, but their limited funds are a concern that they need to work on. Therefore, young Niko decided to sell lemonade along the side of the road to raise funds so he and his team can fly to Portugal for the competition.

Niko does not mind the heatwave because all he wanted to do was to join the competition abroad together with his team.

The fact that he is working so hard despite the unforgiving weather is proof that he knows what he wants and he is ready to do what it takes to get to where he wants to be. It was just unfortunate that he lacked funds to join the competition, especially since his Dad had just recently suffered a heart attack.

What the young boy did not know was that something great was about to come his way.

While Niko fought against the heat of the sun to be able to raise funds for his Portugal trip, TikTok couple Lexy and Austin Burke saw how serious he was about his dream.

The couple is known for helping people in need and posting their inspiring stories on TikTok. While they were driving outside to get lunch, they came across Niko who was selling lemonade at that time.

Lexy and Austin instantly knew that he needed help. The couple approached the kid and took videos of him so they can upload his story as a part of their “Venmo Challenge” where people send money to Lexy’s Venmo account to help the featured person in need.

Their post went viral and people were eager to help the boy who did not mind being under the sun’s unforgiving heat so he could raise funds.

It only took about 30 minutes for the couple to raise $500 for the young boy. They added$500 as their personal gift to the kid, and on their way to the boy’s lemonade stand, someone sent another $100!

When they gave Niko the $1,100 fund they raised, the boy could not be happier. He was ecstatic to receive such a huge blessing! Niko was actually just visiting Nashville, and the boy could not believe that he would be so lucky to meet the couple who helped him get the money he needed to fly to Portugal.

It was as if everything was meant to be, and Niko was the person they were waiting for to help.

Lexy is amazed at how things worked out.

“I’ve had a little over $400 in my Venmo from previous challenges and have been waiting for the right moment to surprise someone. As soon as we saw Niko, we knew we wanted to do anything we could to help him,” said Lexy.

Austin is inspired by Niko’s incredible dedication and love for his sport.

“Seeing how hard this kid was working in 102-degree weather is a type of work ethic you can’t teach. Niko is an extraordinarily special kid with big dreams and that’s something Lexy and I understand all too well.”
