Young boy raises over $100,000 to buy bulletproof vests for K-9 police dogs
Did you know that a canine has the amazing ability to smell 100,000 times better than us humans?
No wonder they are a very important part of our police force.
Brady Snakovsky, a smart 11-year-old boy, always wanted to be a police officer. According to him, he always wanted to be a police officer so he could save many lives.
Like kids his age, Brady loves playing pretend. He even owns a police uniform, complete with those cool sunglasses. Who would have thought that this young boy will start a huge change in the police system?
Along with his dream is the realization of the importance of our beloved K-9 officers.

He was just eight years old when we realized something that most of us didn’t. According to the little boy, he noticed how not all police dogs wear protective vests.
At a young age, Brady was already confused as to why some K-9 officers weren’t protected at all! They are in the front line too. K-9 officers are brave and loyal, so it’s just right for them to be equally protected.

Brady said that he also noticed how canine handlers have their own vests, so why not issue a ballistic vest for each trained K-9 police officer? The little boy was really confused and sad about what he observed.
Because of this realization, Brady decided to start a GoFundMe account so he would be able to raise money. He wanted to make a change, and this little boy was determined to help K-9 officers.

According to Brady’s GoFundMe account:
“I started my campaign with a goal of collecting enough funds to purchase one ballistic vest for a K9 in need. Through the support of my family, the community and a great company, Line Of Fire Defence Systems, I was able to not only donate 1, but 4 ballistic vests for K9s.”

He wanted to save enough money so he would be able to buy vests for our beloved K-9 officers. For Brady, each dog should have his or her ballistic vest.
Did you know that each vest costs $1,200?

Each vest is not cheap, but it’s definitely worth it. These dogs don’t complain, and they risk their lives to help our police officers. So it’s just right that they are also protected.
It’s really sad to know that not all dogs have this protective vest and this young boy wanted everyone to see the importance of his mission.

He was just eight, but his level of concern and love for our canine heroes is admirable.
The young boy was hopeful that people would realize the importance of his mission and donate.
Brady’s project was a success! It has even surpassed the $100,000 goal. As of today, Brady has already donated 417 vests for our beloved K-9 officers.
