4-year-old hilariously shares to-do list with mom, proving he’s a very “busy man”

The life of a kid is usually a play-filled and worry-free existence. But not for one little boy in Northern Ireland. To hear him tell it, he has taken on a lot of adult responsibility. The thing is it is all in his head, but that hasn’t stopped him from telling his mother about his busy day.

In a video, four-year-old Darragh O’neill describes to his mother the busy day he has ahead of him. By hearing him talk, you would think he is the busiest person in the world. Which leaves the listener wondering, when does he find the time to do all that he has to accomplish?

He tells his mother about his long to-do list, including having to dig a drain for his neighbor and clean the windows at the local Marks & Spencer store. And he goes into great detail, over three minutes of it, even talking about how he has to go into Dublin to hire a digger.

Of course, he has no idea about finances as he has only budgeted £20 for the task, which seems to be way too little.

Building a house

He also has plans to level the stones in his yard and of helping his grandpa with the lane outside his house. It makes you wonder how he has the energy for all of this activity? Most interesting of all is the house that young Darragh claims to be building.

“I’ll put in tiles up at my house I’m building. It’s going on good, they’re putting on the windows today. I’m putting in the tiles, but I need the concrete man this evening. He’s coming at half six. It’s a quare day for the concrete. It’s for Ronan McAliskey, he drives the lorries,” Darragh says in the video “What else do I have to do?”

“I’m going to need to get the keys to my car because I don’t have them yet, I only ‘buyed’ my car there yesterday. I only got my license yesterday. The police won’t be out today. I’ll park her up at Tessie’s. I’ll bring my bike up,” Darragh continued.

“I’m going up to John Paul’s. I might dig out his wee drains. Then I’m going up to Brian G’s. I’m a busy man,” he says as he finishes talking about his to-do list with his mother.

Getting a job

Ever the busy body, Darragh then moves onto talk of food. Stating a preference for steak over pizza. Finally, he talks about getting a job at the Marks & Spencer establishment in the downtown area.

“You know that big place Marks & Spencer’s, I’m putting new windows in it. I’m cleaning the windows. I might go up there this morning. I don’t want paid like. I already have lots of money.”

According to his mom, Darragh picks up a lot from his dad, Gerard. Darragh spends a lot of his time outside learning about things around the family’s farm from his father, especially on the weekends when he is off from school. It seems his dad has sure made an impression on the ambitious, little boy.
