Boy walking home from school stops to hug stray dogs
At least a few of us have those neighborhood friends we greet on our way to school or work. It might be the construction workers, store-owners, or neighborhood kids for most of us.
And for the rest of us, it could be the tail-wagging, barking, happy neighborhood dogs. This is how it was for Russian citizen Ibrahim, a little boy.
It’s not strange to find dogs on the street. As cute as they are, there are too many dogs for everyone to take in. Thus, the streets become their home.
And it can get mighty lonely on the streets, a life many of us are fortunate not to have.
Makes your heart go out more for those who aren’t as privileged, man or beast. There are a whole lot of layers to the homeless problem affecting both people and animals.
While most of us don’t have all the answers yet, there are those of us who just send out a kind and caring gesture – because this is usually all we can give besides some food and cash. Make no mistake, though, it can go a long way.
Ibrahim here pets and hugs these same dogs on the way home from school. And they appreciate it quite a lot.
The young boy doesn’t have someone else to escort him home. He hasn’t got a parent or guardian to walk him all that way.
And with that in mind, I can see why he appreciated the company in the form of those two dogs. Seems like the feeling was mutual too.
When Ibrahim stopped to pet the dogs, they were as happy as can be.
Their tails got wagging, and they enjoyed Ibrahim’s company just as much as he enjoyed theirs.
The little boy didn’t stop with just pets and rubs, though.
He got up close and hugged the dogs too. Something we all love to do when we petting isn’t enough.
And the dogs, of course, love every bit of it. Just as dogs do.
It was so cute to see that someone nearby pulled out a camera and filmed the whole thing. Little did Ibrahim know, his tender moment with the dogs would soon go viral.
Picking up quite a lot of views on Facebook, Ibrahim’s sweet embrace with the stray dogs could now be seen by the whole world.
Now, strangers watching from home can see this innocent boy hugging stray dogs on their screen.
The DODO covered the video of Ibrahim, and was able to get a few words from a family friend of Ibrahim’s.
“He goes to school with my daughter and helps her carry her bag. He’s a very kind boy.” – says Katerina, who told the source that the moment was truly reflective of what the boy is like
