Boy on his way to school drops everything to stop and hug stray dogs along his route
The internet is rife with all sorts of videos that catch people doing both good and bad deeds. But, sometimes we get an absolute gem that shows us a small picture of what pure happiness looks like.
A little boy in Grozny, Chechnya is giving us lots of happy vibes after he was spotted hugging two stray pups on the way to school.
Against a backdrop of anger, cruelty, or indifference that is shown to stray animals all around the world, we have people like Ibrahim, who have nothing but selfless kindness in their hearts.
Though there are many people out there who willingly ignore homeless strays, this kid dropped everything when he saw some pups in obvious need of some extra love and attention.
He didn’t even know that someone was watching and filming the sweet interaction from across the street.
This kid probably hands out free doggy hugs every day, sight unseen, because that’s just the way he is!
And of course, the video clip has naturally gone viral because who doesn’t like watching kids hugging dogs?
In the video, Ibrahim is already sitting on the ground, sandwiched between two happy strays who are getting lots of hugs and kisses from him.
When it seemed like everyone has had their fill, he gets up to leave and starts walking away.
But when Ibrahim turned back to look at the pair, he went back for the second round of puppy cuddles!
Apparently, he needed the hugs as much as the dogs did, and they were completely happy to sit there and be on the receiving end of his childlike joy.
A local woman named Katerina, who is a friend of the family, saw a video of Ibrahim circulating online and she instantly recognized the boy.
She told The Dodo that his kind heart was just a “reflection of his selfless spirit.”
Redditors agree, with one person commenting “someone get that kid a dog please” and another responding with, “give him those dogs.”
And apparently, he’s an absolute unit of a gentleman, too!
“I saw the video. That’s Ibrahim. He goes to school with my daughter and helps her carry her bag. He’s a very kind boy.”
Meanwhile, in another part of Russia, a stray pooch from Georgia has made it her mission to get kids safely to class.
She shows up at the crosswalk every single day, and will even give a stern warning bark to cars that don’t stop!
Perhaps one day the pup that Ibrahim encountered will remember his kindness and protect other kids on their way to school, just like this brave crosswalk guard dog does.
