Internationally-renowned brass band takes over the New York subway – turns it into dance party

Lucky Chops formed way back in 2006 in New York City. Since then, they’ve been electrifying audiences all over the world. Aside from touring, they make amazing YouTube videos showcasing their talents that almost always go viral. In this video, the funky brass band turns the subway into a party while playing ‘I Feel Good’ and people can’t get enough of them.

These guys are awesome, James Brown would be proud!

Lucky Chops showed up in their hometown, NYC, at 34th street Herald Square to brighten everyone’s day with ‘I Feel Good’

The highly skilled brass band knows a thing or two about “turning up,” and they prove it with this energetic version of ‘I Feel Good’ by James Brown. Every musician in Lucky Chops is a master of his instrument, which is the reason why they sound so good!

At the start of the video, you can see Leo P with his signature pink hair, doing his famous dance moves while playing the baritone saxophone. That’s when trombone player, Joshua Gawel, steps in between the two saxophone players and the whole band begins playing.

They do a spunky routine while people all around the subway stop to listen. Some people begin going out of their way to tip the impressive band

Lucky Chops doesn’t skip a beat playing ‘I Feel Good,’ you can see shocked onlookers watching the impressive band’s outstanding performance while they carry on doing what they do best. The way they dance and play at the same time is what sets them apart from most brass bands.

2:00 into the video Lucky Chop picks it up a notch, Leo P does some jumping kicks all while keeping the melody of the song. You can see people pulling out their phones to document the powerful performance, while the band keeps putting all their talents on display.

Tenor saxophone player, Daro Behroozi, does a ridiculous solo toward the end of the video

It looks like Behroozi is about to blow out a lung when he starts going off, Lucky Chops plays off of each other’s energy like no brass band I’ve ever seen before. They really know how to put on a show, every member is insanely gifted and it shows through their music.

For the grand finale, drummer Kevin Congleton bangs out a terrific solo, before the whole band blasts their instruments together. People on YouTube went wild for Lucky Chops, millions of people flocked to watch the exciting performance. Everything about this band will blow your mind, especially their impeccable timing.

Almost 3 million people watched the epic rendition of ‘I Feel Good,’ with 45k liking the spunky video
