Our dogs are our best friends.

This is especially true for those who have owned dogs from a very young age. They will always be part of the family; and as a part of our family, they are always included in our milestones – from attending school and our birthdays to living lives independently and sharing it with someone else.

As such, it is not surprising that some brides involve their most beloved pets in one of the biggest days of their lives. No matter the country, no matter the breed, no matter how many guests are attending, dogs will always have a place of honor.

In India, a bride takes her time to play with her best friend.

Even if she was adorned in elaborate wedding garments and bedazzled with jewelry, she didn’t mind at all when her “puppy” approached her on her special day. The German shepherd might’ve sensed the joy the bride was feeling and he wanted to get into that spirit of revelry.

You can tell from the short clip how close they are to each other. The German shepherd dog acted like a puppy even if he looked like he was around a hundred pounds. He seems to be unaware of his own size that he even tried to settle on the bride’s lap.

The video was positively and widely received by many. It racked up about 70,000 views with people sharing how enamored they are with their dynamics. A lot of them were leaving heart emojis and appreciative comments. We can’t blame them, though!

Dogs in weddings aren’t new.

Across the world, dog-loving brides and grooms often include their dogs in the celebrations. Some of them, if they are well-trained and well-behaved, are even included in the entourage.

It’s a widely accepted practice. It’s also a way for pet owners to show how important their pets are in their lives.

As much fun as it would be for you and your dog, there are some tips to keep them in check.

First, you should choose a venue that allows dogs and a ceremony that they can be accommodated. Two, assign someone to handle your dog throughout the ceremony.

This can help you attend to your family and friends.

Third, bring the treats. It’s a long day so your dog should be energized all throughout. Fourth, if they’re in the entourage, dress them up and don’t let them bring the real rings! You’ll never know when they’ll bolt off after a squirrel.

Lastly, let him act like a dog. They just want to share the joy and the bliss of your special day so expect that they’ll be on their dog-darnest behavior.
