Many musicians would kill to share a stage with Bruce Springsteen. Does this little girl realize how lucky she is?
Bruce Springsteen is one of the elder statesmen of rock. But his fans come in all shapes and sizes. Even the very young adore Springsteen’s music, as this video proves.
Nevaeh is being raised in a rock and roll loving household. Because of this, she had heard many of the great classic rock musicians by the time she had reached her fourth birthday.
The girl’s parents could tell that she loved rock music just as much as they did. And by the time she became a toddler, she already had a favorite musician. It was The Boss himself, Bruce Springsteen.
In fact, Nevaeh even started learning the words to Springsteen’s songs. Pretty soon, Nevaeh never went on a car ride without reciting a Springsteen song.
So when Springsteen announced a concert in Nevaeh’s family’s hometown, the girl’s parents realized they had to take her to it. They booked the tickets, and Nevaeh anxiously counted down the days until she saw her hero.
But the concert, Nevaeh’s first-ever concert, would be incredibly special. In fact, the little girl will never forget it.
From the moment Springsteen walked out, Nevaeh couldn’t believe her eyes or ears. There in front of her was her favorite musician in the flesh.
Springsteen kept on singing hit after hit. And Nevaeh sang along with all of them. Then he started singing Waitin’ on a Sunny Day. Springsteen started interacting with all of his fans. But soon, Nevaeh would become the envy of everyone in the room, her parents included.
When Springsteen spotted Nevaeh, he was amazed that someone so young was singing all the words to his song.
So he decided to show her off to everyone in the room.
He beckoned for Nevaeh’s parents to hand her over. Of course, usually, they would never hand their daughter over to a strange man. But Springsteen was a clear exception.
Nevaeh walked up to her hero, and Springsteen bent down to say hi to her and hand her the mic.
Nevaeh sang loudly and confidently into the mic. For a four-year-old, she had a great voice. In fact, a gasp of shock rang out across the entire room.
And then the crowd started cheering Nevaeh along.
For one second, Springsteen took back the mic. He announced this to the room: “You’re so good!”
The musician then handed back the mic to the girl, and she kept on singing, just as confidently as before.
Springsteen took the mic back once more. This time, he said, “I’m mystified. You’re so good!”
Next, Springsteen took Nevaeh’s hand and told her to take a bow with him.
After a couple of bows, Springsteen picked the girl up and handed her back to her parents.
Luckily, Nevaeh’s grandmother was filming the entire thing. She soon uploaded it to her YouTube channel. She was shocked when the video went viral.
To date, the recording has had over 2.7 million views. It also has more than 10,000 likes and 700 comments. People have been saying things like this:
Anyone who doubts that Bruce Springsteen is anything less than an extraordinary person, as well as an extraordinary musician, needs to see this video!
