Bulldog loves sticking head through hole in fence, so owners paint costumes

In these trying times, people from around the globe are challenged to find ways on how to cope with the restricting situation.

From accomplishing tasks or projects some have been putting off for a long time to learning new skills or hobbies, everyone is trying their best to get by.

But this specific family residing in Denmark surely knows how to step up their game when it comes to entertaining not just themselves but others as well when they uploaded a funny and cute outfit for their dog on a fence. Sounds interesting, doesn’t it?

The star of this story is Bogart, a bulldog living in Gråsten, Denmark with his pet parents, Ranveig and Claus Levinsen, and together with his bulldog mom Winston. These curious pooches usually poke their heads out from two separate holes through the fence and spend most of their time people-watching. With this, the family had this very creative idea of painting costumes on the outside part of their fence for the two.

Ranveig told Bored Panda facts about her two lovely bulldogs, describing Bogart as ‘funny’ but with a ‘nice personality.’ She said:

“He (Bogart) is a 4-year-old English Bulldog—we have his mother, Winston (she doesn’t care about the male name), and we decided that she should have puppies. […] She [had] 8, and we kept Bogart—he was the smallest and totally cute.”

In an instant, Bogart became an internet sensation when a video was uploaded of him sticking his head out from the hole in the garden fence painted with the most hilarious costume! The video was even shared by Danish news and media page 112nyheder, and it became viral with 15,000 reacts and 62,000 shares. This just goes to show how Bogart made their day which is definitely a big thing during these times.

As seen in the video, Bogart is poking his head out through the hole on the fence while being unaware that he is wearing a crown and a royal outfit painted onto his ‘body.’

What really makes this scene so hilarious is his expressionless face. You can also hear the passersby recording them giggle in the background. They just couldn’t handle this adorable sight! Sharing their inspiration behind this idea, Ranveig said:

“We are living close to a walking path, so many people pass by every day, and the dogs are just so curious. To prevent them from skipping the fence, we made the holes, but even if it was funny to see them from the other side, I just thought it would look even [funnier] if we painted something.” She added, “You know, like in amusement parks where you can have your photo taken in these kind of holes.””

Without a doubt, this whole thing is definitely a sure win to the hearts of the passing strangers. Ranveig expected that the paintings on the fence would surely capture anyone’s attention but didn’t see it coming that one of her bulldogs would actually become famous!

Through the help of her creative daughter who drew the pooches’ costumes, Ranveig started to take action and it was a beautiful success.

Bogart must be clueless that he has now become a celebrity in Denmark. He has been featured on one of Denmark’s biggest influencers’ Instagram account, and Ranveig is speechless by the great impact her cute little dog has had on the internet. She told Bored Panda:

“I, myself, am blown away that my little dog has gone viral—just because he looks goofy.”

Everyone’s hearts will surely melt if you pass by this view every day.
