Hilarious Bulldog insists on joining dad every time he takes a bath
For some dog owners, the dreaded bathtime can be a huge pain.
There are countless videos and guides to help people out there learn how to get your dog into the bath. So you know it’s a real problem.
But for Blue the bulldog, it couldn’t be more of the opposite.
The president and co-founder of Brewery85, Will McCameron, has a unique situation on his hands.
He works long days at the brewery and more than anything after a day’s work; he loves to relax in a bath. Let the bones and muscles recuperate from moving heavy kegs and brewing materials.
However, his problem is that his young bulldog named “Blue” would love nothing more than a bath as well.
But Blue doesn’t work quite as hard around the brewery as his dad, so I’m not so sure he’s earned it. You can often find Blue lying around, as you can see on his Instagram.
Once the sound of streaming bathwater hits Blue’s ears, though, he’ll come running.
“You have to close all the doors,” Will McCameron, Blue’s dad, told The Dodo. “Otherwise, he’ll come running across the house and try to jump in.”
If you want a relaxing bath, it sounds like you have to keep the door shut with this little guy. But he’s so cute it would be hard to keep him away.
Blue has had a love of water since day one.
He’s been caught in a bunch of pictures enjoying the water on his Instagram.
“I’ve had other dogs before but I’ve never had a water dog — and he is definitely a water dog,” McCameron said. “Bath, shower, lake, pool, whatever, he’s getting in.”
In a lake or a pond, Blue likes to swim and splash around, but in his beloved bathtub, it’s all about relaxation.
“Once he gets in the bathtub he just sits there and soaks,” McCameron said.
It doesn’t seem like a bad problem.
You get some very adorable photos, but I’m sure it can get messy at times. Like, a full day spent laying on floors at the brewery should get the little guy pretty dirty. And who would want that in their bathwater?
So even though his presence in the tub is often not welcome, that doesn’t stop Blue from begging.
“A lot of times, he’ll climb up and bark at you and whine and bang his nose on the wooden part of the tub underneath, and eventually he’ll just give up and jump in,” McCameron said.
Other times, Blue will get tired of begging and fall asleep right on the side of the bathtub.
This 1-year-old is already an old man in his manners.
Aside from taking baths with his owner, Blue’s second favorite activity is what comes after.
“He’s a little baby bull,” McCameron said. “Whenever he gets out, he likes to charge whoever has the towel and wrestle and play and attack and try to knock them over.”
He sure sounds like a lot of fun. Blue will definitely keep you on your toes.
“He’s just a super nice, sweet dog,” he added. “He’s probably going to turn out to be the best dog I’ve ever had.”
If I lived near Greenville, South Carolina, I’d certainly consider going to Brewery85 for a pint and hopefully get to meet Blue as well.
He’s becoming quite the celebrity with his cute face and his love for bathtime, and we can’t hold that against the hilarious Bulldog one bit.
