Bulldog lost after car crash finds the perfect place to wait until owner finds him

Aaron Shuptrineâs car was involved in a collision in I-East, around North Loop East.
Inside the car with him was his Bulldog, Bevo.
Bevo is his best friend, and Aaron himself proudly considers Bevo âhis worldâ. Itâs clear to see that Aaron absolutely loves his dog, more than anything.

So imagine his fear when Bevo got ejected out the back of the car during the crash.
The car crash itself was no light bumping. The carâs fenders and bumpers looked like they were crumpled up pieces of paper. A light steel fence was completely knocked over at the sight of the crash.

There was no dashcam or CCTV to show us just how bad things were, but the damage paints a generally good image of how a dog managed to get ejected through the rear window.
Now, Bevo was nowhere to be found. Heâd run off in shock, probably.
Aaron was worried sick, unsurprisingly.

Bulldogs arenât exactly the most athletic of breeds. That, and Houston is a big place. A car can be repaired and replaced, a best friend canât. Bevoâs disappearance was a lot scarier to Aaron than the crash or the damage. I canât say I blame him.
Seen not far from the crash was a vehicle that took Bevo. No one knew more details about who the person in this other car was. Neither Aaron nor authorities could conclude if they took the dog in order to help or steal.
Thankfully, it was the former.

Those folks that picked up Bevo after he ran away from the car? They were from Houston Yacht Club and knew the dog belonged to someone. Houston Yacht Clubâs folks didnât know who Bevoâs owner was until KHOU 11 reported Aaronâs crash and mentioned the missing dog.
Bulldogs donât just pop up randomly near car crashes, so it wasnât too hard to put two and two together.

Sean Herlihy was the person in the mystery car that picked up, or should we say, rescued Bevo. He described how Bevo was shaken up and confused during the aftermath, and how he took Bevo back to be temporarily cared for.
Giovanni Escobedo, a server at the Yacht club, took on dogsitting duties.
He let Bevo stay at his home, with his dad and three Bulldogs. Maybe the company of 3 Bulldogs helped Bevo calm down a bit. The Yacht Club reached out to KHOU 11 reported Marcelito Benito to break the news.

Another worker at the Yacht club, who wasnât mentioned by name, was the one who contacted KHOU 11 after the lost dogâs description matched Bevo.
Can you say fantastic news?
Aaron was worried to death, and itâd only been a day since he was separated from Bevo. A day that felt like 3 years, according to him.

âI got the news last night, and it was crazy. Itâs felt like three years since last night.â â Aaron Shuptrine said to KHOU 11
Houston Yacht Clubâs staff were delighted that they found Aaronâs dog and could reunite the two. Giovanni, among others, knew how much dogs meant to their owners.
He says he was just doing what heâd want someone to do for him.

Aaron and Bevo could go back to their regular schedule or spending every day with each other. This includes walks, playing, cleaning, and farting too in Bevoâs case. Not that Aaron would have it any other way.
Good news about the little things is always a joy to read about.
