Bulldog’s sad eyebrows give her a distinct look — and we just want to cheer her up
Most dogs that you encounter seem relatively happy. Many are satisfied with a simple pat on the head or an enthusiastic, “Good dog.” Occasionally, you might come across a scared or aggressive dog. But dogs are usually relatively easy to get along with.
This goes for Madame Eyebrows as well, even though her unique fur pattern does make it look like she is sad all of the time.
Meet Madame Eyebrows
Named Madame Eyebrows because of her eyebrows, the English bulldog lives in Germany with her owner Janina. Born with the forlorn-looking markings on her face, Janina swears Madame Eyebrows is an otherwise happy dog, despite the look of perpetual sadness that she has.
‘She’s a very funny and very happy dog,’ Janina told UNILAD.
Madame Eyebrows has a very distinct look
Her distinct eyebrows, coupled with her white facial fur and droopy mouth, making her look like a “sad clown” who is all set to entertain a crowd. She looks so sad and disappointed with how everything has turned out.
When she was first born, Janina thought Madame Eyebrow’s trademark brows would fade as she got older, but so far that has not been the case. Ultimately, though, she is as happy as can be.
“In real life, you have to see her only a few minutes and you see that she is happy,” Janina told The Dodo. “We don’t see only her sad face. We see how funny she is! And how much love she gives to us.”

And while a majority of the photos that have been taken of Madame Eyebrows do tend to show what looks like a sour disposition, that is not always the case. She is happiest when she is playing, which Janina attests to.
She has even gotten a few photos of Madame Eyebrows playing with a somewhat happy look on her face. Other times are when the happy-go-lucky dog is asleep.
Madame Eyebrows has an Instagram page
Janina posts many of her photos of Madame Eyebrows on the dog’s very own Instagram page. There you can find the sad-looking pup going about her everyday life, whether it’s dressed up in a costume or playing with her doggie sibling.
She’s been a hit with people online and has over 138,000 followers on her page.
