The first few things our children learn, they learned at home. How we treat each other at home will show how our children treat others outside.

We could only hope they show the same respect, kindness, and compassion as we do at home.

Cindy Clausen was a bus driver who did her best to send notes to parents about their children’s behavior.

She’s been a bus driver in Princeton for over 25 years and interacts with the kids of Johnson Park School every day.

So, it’s difficult not to notice how the children interact with each other on her bus.

One day, she saw a pair of students – siblings – whose behavior caught her attention, prompting her to write to their parents.

She noticed how Jorge and Annaliese treated 7-year-old Jaxson with compassion.

Cindy wrote to their parents, Leonor and Jorge Narvaez-Salgado, that their children are beautiful, especially how they grew fond of Jaxson.

She observed how they were always kind to him and asked if they could sit beside Jaxson, and she couldn’t say no to this request.

Jaxson Blue has a degenerative condition that makes it difficult for him to walk.

At times, he would take a while to get on and off the bus, but Jorge and Annaliese would support him.

Cindy also noticed that sometimes Jaxson looked sad but would later light up when he saw the Salgado siblings.

But one incident prompted Cindy to write a letter.

It was one of those days when it seemed extra difficult for Jaxson to walk and get off the bus.

However, Annaliese stayed behind him, looked around the bus, and cheered, “Come on, Jaxson! You can do it!”

When they arrived at school, Jorge took it upon himself to carry Jaxson’s backpack.

Cindy acknowledged that there’s nowhere else the siblings got their kindness aside from their home.

A photo of Cindy’s letter to Leonor and Jorge was posted on Love What Matters’ Facebook Page and instantly went viral. It has more than 3,000 shares and over 45,000 likes and reactions.

Jaxson’s mom, Belmax de Jesus, praised Annaliese and Jorge and called them “angels.”

“I look at them as angels because… how do they know to be so compassionate and so kind? It’s so pure and genuine. And I’m also very grateful for the parents because they’re doing something right for their kids to be so open and loving. That is definitely stemming from the home,” she told Chasing News.

On the other hand, Annaliese and Jorge’s parents were beaming with pride.

Leanor and Jorge were excited to see the letter and were very proud of their kids.

Parents worry about what goes on in their children’s lives in school daily, and the letter assured them that their kids were doing well.

Cindy also said she’s been giving this kind of letter to other parents.

“I see the moms and dads so concerned when they put their kids on the bus, probably wondering, ‘Are they OK? Is it going to be a good day?’ I try to support them and let them know that we all care, and their child is in good hands,” she told TODAY.
