The light-hearted man quickly became the kid’s favorite bus driver. In December of 2018, the school day was shortened due to weather and Wayne knew this meant most of his kids would miss breakfast.

Two-thirds of the kids at Montevallo Elementary are low income, which means they rely on free breakfast and lunches

Sadly, when the school days shortened, the majority of the kids don’t have a choice but to go without breakfast. That’s why Wayne devised a clever plan to get his kids fed!

“When the kids got on I said, ‘So, what do ya want? Sausage? McMuffin?” Wayne told TODAY.

Out of his own pocket, Wayne bought every single kid on his bus a breakfast sandwich

“When I got to McDonald’s, I asked the manager, ‘Can you turn around 50 biscuits in 15 minutes and can you give me as good of a deal as possible?’ He gave me a dollar deal and we just turned it around,” said Wayne.

The kids greatly appreciated Wayne’s gesture, turns out, so did McDonald’s. They gave him a $1000 visa card for his kindness

Store manager of the location Wayne went to, Jamie Black, gave price coupons to feed his kids again! That was only the start, the US division of Mcdonalds gave the price a handwritten card, a $100 arch card and a $1000 dollar visa card! Although he greatly appreciates it, the most important thing was his kids being fed and happy!

“I got some sweet kids and I get really attached to them
they were really appreciative. I dunno. I just love my kids. I got lots of fist pumps, lots of high-fives, lots of ‘Love you Mr. Price,’ lots of ‘Thank you Mr. Price.'” Wayne told TODAY.

What an amazing bus driver! His kindness is so inspiring, I’m sure the kids learned a valuable lesson from the awesome man!
