Bus driver writes sweet note to parents praising how their sons treat each other on the bus
These parents received a note about their children’s behavior in school, but not for the reason you’re expecting.
Bus driver Cindy Clausen observed two children, Annaliese and Jorge Narvaez-Salgado, as they rode the bus each school day. One of the kids sharing the bus with them was Jaxson. Jaxson had a degenerative condition that rendered walking difficult.
Combined with the small stature of a child, this made it difficult for him to get on his bus seat.
Jaxson’s condition, and the typical nature of most private schools, makes him a potential target for bullies. Bullies love to seek out the different kid, and Jaxson was in a vulnerable spot.
Cindy was concerned for Jaxson, but her fears died down thanks to Annaliese and Jorge. Whenever the boy with his moving disabilities came onto the bus, Annaliese and Jorge always made him feel welcome.
They’d sit with him, watch him, talk to him, and cheer him on.
This made a world of a difference for little Jaxson, who usually seemed glum and quiet all the time. Cindy Clausen noticed how differently he seemed around Annaliese and Jorge. He’d always smile and seem significantly more comfortable with his two friends.
Of course, this was too sweet to not comment on. Having a pair of best friends can change someone’s entire school year, as many of us can attest to.
Cindy just had to let their parents know how much their kindness meant to Jaxson, and to her as well. She confidently said that it was the sweetest thing she’d seen in her career as a school bus driver.
That’s some high praise!
She wrote to Annaliese and Jorge’s parents, Jorge and Leonor Narvaez-Salgado. Cindy made sure to tell them how sweet their kids were, and how proud they should be. In the letter, she commended the parents for their parenting.
Kids this compassionate and sweet can only learn it from their home. Cindy knew that their parents must have done a fantastic job teaching kindness and compassion.
Jaxon’s own mother, Belmax De Jesus, adored what the Narvaez-Salgado kids were doing for Jaxson. Calling them “angels”.
“It’s like, how do they know how to be so kind? It’s so pure and genuine.” – Belmax De Jesus said
On one day, Jaxson was having a little more trouble than usual getting in his seat. Cindy witnessed the whole thing, including when Annaliese cheered him on with “Come on, Jaxson. You can do it!”. What a little angel indeed!
Annaliese and Jorge’s father spoke to Chasing News about how proud he was of his kids. I’d be proud too!
“My wife and I were proud of it and excited to have read the letter. Because you know, sometimes when most parents send their kids to school, you don’t really know what goes on daily, per se. And every parents teach their kids to act accordingly, you know.”
