Man sings rendition of 'Can You Feel The Love Tonight' that is sure to give you goosebumps

There are certain songs that are able to affect us in very special ways, conjuring up feelings and memories from the first note to the last. Elton John’s ‘Can You Feel The Love Tonight’ is one of those songs.

An immensely powerful and poignant track, it’s best-known for featuring in the 1994 Disney animated classic, The Lion King, and a lot of people instantly think of that film when they hear the song.

It’s a track that can transport us back to our childhood or make us think about our families and other people we love, and one wonderfully talented vocalist named Jonathan Antoine has delivered an absolutely amazing version of it.

Jonathan is a 25-year-old British singer, well-known for his simply stunning voice. He’s been taking lessons since the age of 11, and at the age of 17, he came into the public eye when he appeared on UK talent show: Britain’s Got Talent.

On the show, Jonathan performed alongside his friend, Charlotte, and many people were quick to judge him, based purely on his appearance.

Even one of the judges, Simon Cowell, seemed to judge Jonathan right from the start, saying “Just when you think things couldn’t get any worse” to one of his fellow judges after seeing Jonathan and Charlotte walk onto the stage.

Well, as soon as Jonathan started to sing, Simon and everybody else immediately went silent! They were blown away by his extraordinary voice, with Cowell admitting he’d been wrong and calling Jonathan “a future star”.

He was right! Even though Jonathan and Charlotte didn’t actually win the big prize on Britain’s Got Talent, they finished as runners-up and then made a couple of albums together before launching their own solo careers.

Jonathan has since turned all over the UK, performing at big events and even having a couple of number 1 classical albums too. And it was during one of his live shows that Jonathan treated the audience to this amazing cover of Can You Feel The Love Tonight.

Various musicians surrounded him on the stage, which was decorated with plant and jungle-style imagery to provide the ‘Lion King’ effect as Jonathan launched into his performance.

We can only begin to imagine how many goosebumps and shivers ran right through the audience as they heard Jonathan’s extraordinary voice delivering those first few lyrics.

As well as his amazing voice, Jonathan is well-known for his positive attitude, often talking about the importance of treating others with care and trying to be the best person you can be.

At the end of the video, he encourages his fans and followers to treat others as they would wish to be treated:

What I would really like for people to think about and to ponder is the idea of imagining others complexly. Every single person that you pass in the street, they have as varied, storied, and exciting of a life as you do. So treat them that way, please.
