The male German shepherd in the video is named Whisky. The cat, also a male, is named Gamin.

A TikTok account has been created for the pair with the handle “WhiskyGamin” where fans of cuteness can follow their friendship. The page has 8768 followers but one particular video has captured the hearts of many online. It really illustrates the love and friendship that can develop between a German shepherd and a cat.

Gamin lets Whisky know it is time for a cuddle.

The TikTok clip begins with Whisky just hanging out with his paws outstretched in front of him. Gamin then saunters in and decides Whisky’s outstretched limbs would make an excellent place to lay down for a bit.

Gamin lays himself down on Whisky’s legs in a way that is only comfortable for cats to do. As she lay belly up stretched across Whisky’s front legs, the kind German Shepherd gives his belly some friendly dog licks. These two are clearly quite comfortable with each other! Their owner says that the two cuddle every single day, and why wouldn’t they? They certainly seem like they are relaxed and enjoying each other’s company.

Users on TikTok have commented that having a cuddle like this is probably part of Whisky and Gamin’s regular routine. And shouldn’t cuddling with a friend, family member, or loved one be part of all our daily routines? Thank goodness for pets, they are always up for a cuddle.

The internet loves cute cats and dogs, so it is not surprising that this video has gone viral. It has been viewed more than 2.8 million times and received greater than 300,000 likes. Numerous viewers on TikTok have left a comment on the video as well.
