Kitten trusts her new dog brother so much that she fell asleep with her head in his mouth

When a woman named Gabrielle adopted a new kitten in December, she knew the tiny fluffball would be able to hold her own against the rambunctious German Shephard named Butta that she already owned.

Bella was a scrappy stray but ready to leave the mean streets and find her forever home.

“The rescues at the adoption center said they found her in an abandoned building and she had been in some fights before, which is why her ears are a little wonky,” she wrote in an Instagram post. “She’s truly a fighter.”

And Gabrielle was right, Bella fits in just fine – and while she and Butta enjoy taunting each other from time to time, they’ve become good buddies.

“They’re just joyful, energetic and playful,” Gabrielle told The Dodo. “They play all the time.”

The two even have their own Instagram page dedicated to their friendship – and that’s because people were looking for more information on the pair after a photo of them sleeping in the car went viral.

“We were on a road trip to Louisiana and they were playing as usual and just happened to fall asleep,” Gabrielle said.

But it wasn’t the cute cuddles that made the photo famous, it was the fact that the two managed to fall asleep in the middle of playing with Bella’s head in Butta’s mouth!

She was completely unfazed.

Look at how peaceful they are!

This doesn’t happen on the regular in Gabrielle’s household, which is why she got out her phone to record the moment when she looked in the back seat.

But the two are often adorable together and their mom has shared moments from both their rowdy and quiet moments to their social media pages.

Here’s Butta hiding under the table to tease Bella, forcing her to try and swat at him in their improvised game of Whack-a-Mole.

While Butta doesn’t make a habit of putting the cat’s head in his mouth, it’s not the first time he’s fallen asleep mouthing something furry.

It appears he can sleep in just about any position as well!

The duo’s quiet moments are extra sweet.

Here’s sweet Bella watching the rain with her canine pal right behind her.
